Writen by Christopher Kyalo

The faster, you can build your opt-in email list, the more money you will make online. It is actually as simple as that. Yet we all know how difficult it is to get just one subscriber for your email newsletter or a single name for your opt-in email list.

Still, here's a useful tip to help anybody build up his or her opt-in email list a lot faster. It is based on human nature, which is always an important aspect for marketers to consider in every promotion exercise they undertake.

Focus on a problem and then point to your email newsletter as the source of numerous excellent solutions for the problem.

Every marketer knows that folks respond much more quickly when they are trying to solve a problem. For instance if you are selling anti-spam software and have an opt-in email list then you should focus on producing useful articles on effective ways of reducing spam. You can then post a small part of your article at article directories and then tell your audience in the resource box at the bottom that to read the rest of your article, they will need to subscribe to your ezine or email newsletter.

This simple technique can help you build up your email opt-in list much faster than you ever thought possible.

Go to the the author's blog to read the rest of this article and for lots of other bulk email marketing tips.

Your Mailing List How To Get Sign Ups

Writen by Lee Lister

Your mailing list – the key to improving your internet marketing – but how do you build up your list?

1. Write yourself a report or small ebook – about 10 pages is sufficient. Give it a catchy title, make it an interesting subject and put your web site and contact details inside it. This is the reward for your subscribers.

2. Set yourself up with a good autoresponder system or service.

3. Set up an opt in form on your web site – offering your ebook as an incentive to sign up. Ensure that you state that emails are not sold – and keep to it!

4. If you have a physical location give out cards asking for permission to include your customers on your mailing list.

5. If you have a conventional mailing list –include these cards in your correspondence or direct your customers to your web site to sign up.

6. When you send out products to your customers include these cards in the package.

7. Some autoresponder services include an IPN to PayPal allowing you to automatically include buyers to your list - subject to them confirming their subscription via an opt in confirmation email.

8. Write articles and include your sign up list email address in the resource box.

9. Contribute to other web sites including your list email address.

10. Trade content with other complimentary web sites and put your list email address as a reference.

11. Post useful information on forums and bulletin boards with your list link.

12. Add your ezine to ezine directories.

13. Set up small ads on other ezines.

14. Place ads in search engines and portals.

15. Give products to joint ventures that provide gifts to visitors as a list building exercise.

16. Offer your ezine to your affiliates – or set one up just for them.

17. Include your list link in your eBay shop.

Lastly make the contents of your list interesting to as many people as possible.

Explode Your Email Marketing Results And Optin List Size With This Simple Secret

Writen by Michael Senoff

If you'd like to build a big email list of hot, qualified buyers quickly and easily...with little or no hassle, and without spending an arm and a leg, then this article will show you how.

Look, I am a big fan of using audio on a website. Not only is it cheap and fast to produce, but it bonds you with your site visitors and customers in a way no written message can.

And while there are many ways to use audio to make money with your Internet marketing promotions, there is one way almost nobody else uses that, if you use it, can massively grow the size of your email list very quickly.

What is this secret way?

You simply interview the author or creator of your product (and if you are the author, have someone interview you) and then put it up on your site .

And what you do then is provide five to ten minute clips of each of your interviews on your site.

Then, you edit the audio so that following the clips (which should be the best, most interesting and curiosity-building part of the interview), direct the listener to a place on your web site where they can sign up to hear the rest of it.

And all you do from there is capture their name and email and have it automatically direct them to a link where they can hear the rest, or just email them the link.

Either way, people will scramble to listen to your interview.

And if you do it right and tease them enough, they will readily give you their email and name, letting you build your list rapidly.

From there you can now pitch the related product you actually sell.

Michael Senoff is a sought-after Internet marketer, interviewer and business coach with more than 50,000 students on four continents. For a limited time he is giving away free over 120 hours of in-depth audio interviews with some of the richest and most successful marketers, copywriters and business experts in the world at his famous website http://hardtofindseminars.com

Quotbuy Or Diequot List Building

Writen by Pat Kiggins

It is inevitable that almost every list builder becomes infatuated with the phrase "The Money Is In The List" and we ultimately become what we, ourselves despise… a "junk mailer", a "spammer", the "scum of the earth".

Lists. It seems that we all belong to someone's list. The longer a person has been using the Internet, the more likely they are to end up on someone's marketing list.

It is also true that the longer we stay on the Internet, the more often we "unsubscribe" to lists that we perceive as being "junk mail".

Most list builders start off with good intentions. We all strive to give our subscribers good content. We all know that over time, we can become wealthy if we only treat our subscribers with the dignity that they deserve.

It is said that if you treat your subscribers well, they will stay with you until they either "buy or die". While that isn't literally true, you can extend the membership of an average subscriber simply by following a simple concept… keep them happy.

If we only remembered a simple truth, that most people surf the Internet looking for information and not to buy something, we'd all be better off.

What happens? Most of us get greedy. I mean, it is our list after all. We built it. We worked our fingers to the bone to market to these people.

We wrote the sales copy. We paid good money for pay per click advertising. We spent hours writing the articles that drove them to our sites in the first place. We exchanged links. We optimized our pages for the search engines. These subscribers belong to us!

It is precisely that thinking that causes many of us to ultimately fail at Internet marketing. We don't remember to honor our subscribers by building our brand. Holding ourselves out as the expert in our field. Continuing to provide our subscribers with the content for which they originally subscribed.

Remember, the truly successful marketers who make a consistent living online are the ones who remember that their subscribers are in fact customers. They practice superb "customer service" and they always over-deliver what their subscribers expect.

When you consistently deliver unique content to your subscribers, they will stay with you until they either "buy or die".

Gaining Subscribers To Your Enewsletter Set Yours Apart From The Rest

Writen by Derek Falvey

If you wanted to sit and read a book… you'd buy one. I could fill this article with fluff about newsletter design concepts and make it 20 paragraphs long but you're here for one thing – information that will help you now! Here's the one tip that is guaranteed to increase your newsletter subscription rate.

Offer Something Very Specific

Here's an example. There are thousands of free opt-in email newsletters out there offering, "Tips on how to lose weight during the holiday season". Too broad… too weak… nothing that makes you say "I've got to read this"… right?

But what if the message read something like this:

"Holiday pounds got you down? Our 10 Tips Guaranteed to Help You Trim that Waistline!" Much better.

Business is as much about numbers and the bottom line as it is about psychology. Don't think about how to get your visitor to sign up – think about how to get your visitors to feel that they'd be foolish if they didn't sign up.

Internet advertising is still developing but one thing is for certain; with the right strategy in place any and all kinds of business can benefit from having an online presence.

Take this tip into consideration when designing any form of online advertisement. It will go a long way to helping you grow your business online.

Extend Your Reach With Mailing List Services

Writen by Cathy Seiler

For companies who are looking for a way to extend advertising or further market their products, e-publishers looking for subscribers, salespeople looking for sales leads, or for identifying like-minded people for discussion groups, mailing list services can offer clients a great way to manage their business by identifying a large number of email addresses or traditional addresses, and by managing many aspects of mail delivery and list management.

Mailing list services support the new era of electronic publishing, e-businesses, and advertising, as well as traditional methods of advertising such as direct mailings, by combining various services such as web hosting, address list databases and demographics, emailing and mailing services, address list management, and statistical reporting features. They enable clients to focus their time on their business or group, while handling the more difficult process of identifying leads, customers, and subscribers, and also taking care of mailing details.

There are a few types of mailing list services available today. In the electronic world, discussion lists are those in which like minded subscribers (people who sign-up for, or join a list or organization) can post messages and send them to all of the other subscribers. They're often used by groups, where specific topics, information, and opinions can be traded back and forth. Another type is an announcement list, where a subscriber sends one-way information to a wide variety of addresses. Email marketing lists are used for identifying potential customers and advertising. One of the more creative aspects of the Internet is e-publishing, or E-zines (electronic magazines) as they are called, which are available to subscribers. E-zines offer users a wide variety of topics for users to discover, explore, and subscribe to.

There is a wide variety of mailing list services companies available in the market today that potentially may service very different areas. Some companies only work with electronic mail services, while others will support traditional mailing services, or a combination of both. Other companies specifically target businesses and consumers, and compile important demographic information so you can target specific future customers. There are several mailing list services that offer free mail lists for users that want to send out information to a wide variety of people, but may be limited on the other services offered.

Before you select a mailing list services company, it is important to identify what services you really need, what results you are looking for, and what you are able to afford before shopping and comparing. The more costly services will typically offer a more robust variety of services; better demographical information, an automated address list and subscriber management software, statistical reporting on results of advertising campaigns and opened emails, as well as web archives for publishers.

For both traditional and electronic businesses, publishers, and discussion group leaders, mailing list services provide a wealth of opportunities for people to effectively start and manage their company, and quickly leverage contacts and advertising. By taking care of the details of mailing, advertising, subscribing and unsubscribing, or just posting information, people can focus on the more important aspects of making their business or group successful.

How To Get More Opt Ins

Writen by Larry Potter

Question: I have a sign-up box on my web site to collect names for my marketing list, but I am hardly getting anyone joining my list! I already get lots of traffic, but what can I do to get more sign-ups?

Answer: You're right to be worried. After all, if these first-time visitors leave without joining your list, chances are you'll never see them again, and all the time -- and money -- you spent attracting them to your site will go down the drain.

But I'm getting a sense of where the problem may lie from the way you phrase your question: Why would any of your visitors want to join a "marketing list"?

People value their privacy -- and their information -- so you have to offer them something compelling in return. A regular newsletter, aimed at their interests, for instance, or a free eBook on a subject they've told you they're interested in.

However, let's assume you are already offering something valuable in exchange for their e-mail addresses. If you're still not getting many sign-ups, it's likely your pitch that needs polishing.

To convert more of your visitors to subscribers, you're going to need to write a really compelling subscription offer. I'm still astounded when I see a web site with an opt-in box that says "Subscribe to our Free Newsletter."

What am I subscribing to? Why should I subscribe to it? How often will I get it? Who is it coming from?

Without answers to at least a couple of these questions, there's no way people are going to sign up. So how do you convince them that your newsletter is worth signing up for? You have to promote it!

Say your web site sells football memorabilia. Here's an example of some copy that's guaranteed to get a great opt-in response:

The End Zone is a weekly NFL newsletter that's absolutely jam-packed with all the week's hottest news, stats, and stories. Interviews with your favorite players, the inside scoop on next week's games, PLUS a chance to win an autographed jersey from the team of your choice. Click here to Subscribe Now!

That's a little more compelling than "Subscribe Now," isn't it? And the best part is that it takes just minutes to pump up the copy!

Here are some more sure-fire ways to boost your opt-in rate:

Tip 1: Include a small link to your privacy policy when you're asking visitors for information. This lets people know that you are committed to protecting their privacy and makes them feel safe leaving their e-mail address with you. It's a small thing, but every little bit helps.

Tip 2: Sell the benefits, not the features. If you said "Download our FREE eBook, written by a state-certified housing inspector," you'd be advertising a feature. You'd be telling your visitors a fact about your free newsletter.

Here's how it reads if we decide to emphasize benefits instead:

Certified Housing Inspector John Smith reveals the 10 things you MUST look for when buying a home -- to avoid costly repairs down the road! Click here to read this FREE eBook!

That's a pretty dramatic difference, isn't it? You've hooked your visitors by letting them know how they will benefit by signing up for your offer. In this case, you've promised to help them avoid costly home repairs.

Tip 3: You've got to give your offer prime real-estate if you want to draw in subscribers.

So what's the best location? If your homepage contains a long sales letter, you'll want to put the opt-in box somewhere around the second page. You should have grabbed your visitors' attention by then and shown them that your site has some valuable information.

If your homepage doesn't have a long sales letter, you'll want to place your opt-in box "above the fold" (i.e. the first section of your web site that is visible to a visitor without scrolling). People's eyes are generally drawn to the top left-hand part of a page first, so the top or left is a good place to put your opt-in box.

Here's a powerful third option to double your daily newsletter subscriptions! Set up a pop-up window that prompts your visitors to subscribe to your newsletter right when they enter your web site.

Remember: This is not a question of where your opt-in form looks best. It's all about where it works best, so I would encourage you to test a few different locations. Whichever pulls the most opt-ins is the best place for your offer.

Writen by Gary Baker

Welcome to all of you out in netland.

If you have been doing any type of "m.arkeing" o.nline at all, then you have heard over and over again the importance of having your own o.pt-in l.ist.

Without a doubt, if you don't start and continue to build a solid l.ist, then you fail...period.

So with this article, I would like to give you a few ways to add a batch of new s.ubscribers to your l.ist and NOT spend one penny to do so.

Lets, get right to it shall we...

1. Give Incentives

Give people an incentive to s.ubscribe to your e-zine. Offer them a f.reebie if they s.ubscribe. It could be a f.ree e-book, f.ree report, f.ree advertising, etc. Make sure the f.reebie will attract your target audience.

2. Joint Venture

Joint venture with a similar e-zine. Combine your s.ubscriber bases together and publish one e-zine. Edit and publish each issue together. You both will be promoting the e-zine which means more s.ubscribers.

3. Allow Archiving

Allow your s.ubscribers to archive back issues of your e-zine on their web site. They may need content for their web site. If people visit their web site and like your e-zine, they will s.ubscribe.

4. Form An E-zine Ring

Form an e-zine ring. Team up with 4 to 10 similar e-zines. All the publishers would agree to l.ist each others e-zine name and s.ubscribing information in every issue. You could call this section "Other F.ree E-zines You Might Enjoy"

5. Ask S.ubscribers

Ask s.ubscribers to forward your e-zine to close friends, family, or a.ssociates. If they enjoy your e-zine, they will s.ubscribe. It's almost like your s.ubscribers are endorsing your e-zine.

There you go. 5 f.r.e.e ways to add hundreds of brand new s.ubscribers to your l.ist.

So..get to work.

How To Use Ebooks And Ebay To Build Your Mailing List

Writen by Bill Boyd

Part 1: How to make money from affiliate ebooks without selling them

Part 2: How to use ebooks and ebay to build your mailing list

Part 3: How to use ebooks to drive more visitors to your site

In this section we'll look at a very easy to use and cost effective method of getting laser targeted prospects on your mailing list.

First, let's quickly re-cap part one; we learned there that we don't need to make money from the initial sale of the ebook in order to profit from the ebook. Keep this in mind as we go through the following dialogue.

ebay is a site that facilitates bringing buyers and sellers together in a secure and safe environment, in order to buy and sell a variety of goods and services, either through action or in a fixed price format.

The preferred payment system used there is Paypal. Paypal is an extremely user friendly and highly secure service for transferring money over the internet.

Here's what we do:

1. List the ebook under several different categories, choose categories that have a specific connection to the topic and some that are more loosely connected. For example an ebook about Internet Marketing could be listed under the category of books/internet information products/marketing; this would be a direct connection. A loosely connected category might be something like Everything Else/Education & Learning/Adult & Career Education/Personal Development/Personal Finances. An easy way to find suitable categories is to use the search categories option as you are listing; it gives you recommendations that you can choose from.

2. We also need to play around with the Heading, using different headings for all of our listings, we should try to include the words and phrases that people will use when searching most often, and include them in the heading.

3. List the ebook as a 10 day auction and offer a 'buy now' option as well. Be sure to set the 'buy now' price at level that covers our fees if we wish to make this a free advertising campaign.

4. We need to create a html formatted sales letter. Do this by creating a page in html composer such as Mozilla or coffee cup, or any other composer. Outline all the details about the book and what's in it etc. then at the end of the description add an Auto responder! That the customers can use to ask for more information about the product. We must ensure that the redirect page brings the customer back to ebay. This is vital because ebay has very strict policies regarding links that take people away from their site.

5. Now we can play around with the sales letter to make it more enticing for people to enter their details, some of the things we could use are; for a free report, to receive other offers and updates, for more information and the free edition, etc. we just need to become creative here.

6. If our ebook sells without getting any prospects, that's great we have covered our costs and distributed our links. (see part one of this series) We can go ahead and re-list it, then start all over again!

That's all there is to it! It doesn't take long to set up and once in place, we can easily tweak the listings and continue this strategy. It's not limited only to ebay it's also possible to use any of the other auction sites available online today.

The Pros Of Email List Building

Writen by Chase Davenport

Email list building is an important aspect of internet marketing. Very few visitors will buy a product on the first visit to a site. If you have collected their email address, however, you can lure them back to the site at any time in the future with promotional emails. This greatly increases your chance of converting a visitor into a purchasing customer.

Advertising costs time and money. List building, on the other hand, provides you with a conduit to promote your site directly to potential customers relatively free of charge.

Many sites use "squeeze pages" which force visitors to enter their email address in order to access the site. This is a type of "forced lead" that many internet marketers use to build their lists, and there are several programs out there specifically for squeeze page generation. Other sites use a more casual "opt-in" method where users are offered updates, etc. through email subscription but are not forced to enter their email address in order to access the site.

Even if a very small percentage of visitors that give you their email address actually read or respond to any of your emails, this is still an effective way to hang on to a visitor. Each visitor becomes a potentially recurrent visitor if you can stay connected to them through email.

Beyond that, email lists allow you to market to customers and offer them special offers that can lead to recurring sales from the same customer. Your list is a way to stay in touch with your customer, rather than simply surrendering them. If your product is good and you have treated the customer well, you will begin to build a rapport which can generate sales simply by word of mouth. This saves you time and energy in advertising and is much more valuable than simple text hyperlinked image ads. As long as you are genuine, convincing, and don't hound your email subscribers too often, email marketing can be very effective.

Email lists take a long time to build but are worth the effort it takes to build and maintain them. Without a list, you will always be searching and prodding for new customers. As I said, this takes massive amounts of time and expertise through advertising. A list provides you with a customer base that you can always return to and only aggregate. With a quality product and deft email marketing, you truly can generate huge profits through your list.

The Most Crucial Element To Your Success

Writen by D.S. Mueller

The MOST crucial element to success in online marketing is what?

Answer: You must build an opt-in list.

This should be your 1st goal. It's a well known fact that, "The money is in the list." A big list could set you up financially for life. That's why you must begin here.

You absolutely have to have a group of people to sell your product to. Otherwise, you don't have a profitable business. You just have a website in cyberspace.

They say, "You can't sell from an empty wagon." Well, juice up your site with all the "trick" adcopy you want. I don't care how good your product is… IF you ain't got no customers!

Statistics point to the fact that surfers won't make a purchase on the initial visit to a website. You have to establish some credibility with them in the beginning. So, it's imperative that you capture their email address to foster that relationship. Then you can go about designing a campaign which leads them to a purchase.

How is this accomplished?

A business management tool called an Autoresponder is used. This subscription service manages your database of interested customers. Once established, you will create a signup form to place on your website. This will allow people to input their name and email address. Now you can contact them with future offers.

You can also preprogram messages into the Autoresponder, to be delivered at various intervals. Maybe, once a week or every two weeks. This keeps your name in front of your customers. For less than $20 per month, this is an excellent resource.

Why will someone give you their email address?

Because they expect something of value in return. Maybe you are offering a "free" report of some kind. How about a monthly eNews letter. Or a mini-course on a particular topic.

I sincerely hope this article has been of benefit to you!

Building And Managing An Opt In List For A Website

Writen by Jeremiah Patton

Building and managing an opt in list for a website provides a seller direct access to a wide number of potential customers. Building and managing an opt in list makes use of a system that makes it possible for website visitors to fill up an online form in order to sign up for the latest products and services offered by an online site.

Building and managing an opt in list is commonly practiced by numerous sites on the Internet to maximize their visibility on the world wide web. Building and managing an opt in list is also a proven marketing technique that many business websites use again and again to keep loyal visitors updated on the latest products available from their favorite e-store.

Building and managing an opt in list is also useful for websites that provide news, technology and various forms of information on different subject matters. Visitors that sign up at their favorite website's opt in list can receive updates on products and services offered by the site. In addition the subscriber gains access to the site's regular ezine or newsletter.

The opt-in mailing list provided by a website is not spam, it is a legitimate sign up program for individuals sincerely interested in a website's products and services. No one is included in the opt-in mailing list without prior consent.

Gathering email addresses for building and managing an opt in list

A number of free listing services are available on the Internet to gather email addresses for a website's opt in list. However many of these free list services cannot be personalized to suit a specific site. In addition, the free service list has the option of shutting down a website's list at whatever time they choose to do so.

A better method for building and managing an opt in list begins with a good script for form processing. The script allows a subscriber to fill in a form and send it in to a specific address. The information is then processed and included in a database file. After that, the website can send a personalized reply to the subscriber to thank them for their subscription to the site.

The online form to be filled up by a customer can also be customized to fit the format of a specific site. There are a number of websites that offer form-processing scripts wherein the generally cost price of a good script is about $30.

A pop email account should be created on the website's server in order to accommodate the influx of subscription requests. Email templates will also make the process of handling subscription request easier and faster. This will include an email template for subscription requests and possible requests from subscribers that want to unsubscribe from the Website opt in list. The option to unsubscribe helps build trust between the site visitor and the website.

Building and managing an opt in list database

Creating a database is essential in building and managing an opt in list for a website. There are a number of database programs offered on the Internet that can help process the information sent in for subscriptions. Once the database is set up, a mailing list needs to be generated. This process is essential to building and managing an opt list that will continually process subscription requests from site visitors.

A database program will automatically enable a website to attend to all the details involved in building and managing an opt in list. At the same time, easy access to a subscriber's personal information allows a website to send personalized messages to a specific subscriber at any time.

Building and managing an opt in list subscriber base

Websites can employ a number of methods for building and managing an opt in list subscriber base. Putting up incentives are a great come on for building and managing an opt in list. Offering a free gift as well as providing free services with each subscription is a great technique for building and managing an opt in list. Online contests are also a very popular way of getting people to join a website opt-in list. In addition, prizes that are related to the website's content also help generate interest in the other products and services offered by the site.

Remember, building and managing an opt in list is the ideal and simplest option to increase website traffic.

Jeremiah Patton has been currently building his opt in list for his home based business opportunities website at http://www.2ndincome4u.com for the last year to build up his client base and keep visitors informed on new work at home ideas.

Can You Really Use Articles To Build Your List

Writen by Gerardas Norkus

Getting customers to your web site should always be ranked as high as the importance of the quality and the excellence of the products and the services you provide. They should go hand in hand in providing your customers the satisfaction they get in exchange for the money they have paid for them. Customer service should as well be as fantastic so that the customers are provided with the same satisfaction.

One of the ways you can combine marketing and customer service is through opt-in marketing. With an opt-in list you get the opportunity to introduce your site and products on a good time basis. Opt-in marketing strategy is a marketing strategy that is virtually low cost and not time consuming. Here, you get the consent of your website visitors to subscribe to your newsletters and other promotional materials such as catalogs and free promotions.

Opt-in marketing uses your list of subscribers to send e-mail to. These e-mails will contain the materials you will send to your subscribers. It is essential that you present your promotional items in a manner that will catch the interest and the eye of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more. The best way to do this is to provide fun, entertaining and informational articles.

Well written articles full of content and useful information will help in building your list as more subscribers will be enticed your list. When they have read the samples of your contents in your sites, they will be intrigued as to what will come next. Subscribing to your newsletter will offer them a glimpse of what you have to offer next.

Many sites and companies have captured the importance of articles and this also aids in search engine optimization. As more people are heading towards the internet for their information needs, serving the right information to them via articles in your site will increase the flow of your website traffic. With more traffic, the percentage of your sales will grow. More sales turn into more profit.

There have been the rise for the importance of well written, information enriched and keyword packed articles for the content of their site as well as for newsletters. These articles provide the information many are seeking in the internet. If your site has them, more people will be going to your site for information and research.

Well written articles would also boost your sites reputation. If they are filled with many information you will be regarded as well informed and an expert on the subjects that you tackle. Your articles must be well researched so that the people will trust you. When you have gained their trust, they will always come for you for their needs on that subject.

In connection, you must write articles or commission them to tackle subjects that are closely connected with your type of business. If you have a site for a medicine tackling a certain disease, your articles must be about the diseases. Or if you sell materials for home improvements provide articles with those themes. Most articles searched for are tips, guidelines, methods, manuals and such. If you provide these articles to your customers and you have their trust, they will always go to your site for help and advice as well as for your products.

With the loyalty of these customers, they may subscribe to your opt-in list to receive all the information you have. If you provide them with the answers for that need, they will be happy to be receiving your newsletters as well as other promotional materials to keep them well informed. Others may even forward your newsletters to other people when they find a certain article interesting.

You should provide links in your newsletter so that when other people are reading it and wants to read more, they may click on the link and go to your site. With the articles you have in your site that are good, they may decide to sign up as well for your opt-in list. This will build your list and make it bigger.

Make sure to keep your subscribers happy and interested in your newsletters and promotional materials. Keep on posting and writing good articles for your site and newsletter. If you are not interested in writing them or if you just don't have the time, there are many available well experienced and knowledgeable writers available to help you out. This is an investment that will pay for itself in time.

Newsletter Publishing Tips

Writen by Elizabeth McGee

I can't think of a better way to sell your products and keep your readers coming back for more than publishing a newsletter.

It's worked for both online and offline businesses and it continues to rank high among sales promotional tools.

From real estate agents and health experts to financial wizards, newsletters are excellent tools to keep a business in business.

The concept is simple. Provide quality, original, useful information that builds trust. Once you've given someone data they can use or information that has helped them solve a problem you've just made it very easy to sell to them on what you offer.

It's also a great way to keep them coming back to your site.

Here are ten suggestions for delivering a newsletter that pulls in and keeps subscribers:

1. Post a newsletter form on every page of your website.

Don't miss out on subscriptions by posting your form only on your home page. Visitors often come to subsequent pages of your site. If your newsletter form is not there, you could miss out.

2. Make it easy to subscribe.

Unless you're doing extensive marketing research, all you need to request on your form is a first name and email address. If your subscribers have to fill in too much information, they're likely to skip the process.

3. Offer something free in return for their name and email.

Give away a free ebook or promotion from another site. This is an excellent incentive for your readers to sign-up.

4. Always submit a thank you email when receiving a new subscriber. If you like, construct your thank you in the form of your newsletter. After thanking your subscriber, inform them of how often your newsletter is published and include a taste of what they can expect in future issues. Include information that will get them excited about what they've just signed up for.

5. Use good structure and keep it consistent.

Start out with a table of contents. This lets your viewers decide what they want to read first. Keep your articles focused on your topic and keep your content relevant.

If you can, close your newsletter with a tease of what's in your next issue.

6. Always provide opt-out instructions.

Distributing your newsletter via the internet requires that each and every newsletter provides opt-out instructions. It's not only required, it's the law.

7. Publish Often

Try to publish your newsletter at least once a week. People read a lot on the web and they often sign up for many different things. If you wait too long between publications readers may forget they signed up for your newsletter and opt-out, or worse yet, scream 'spam'. Keep your viewers familiar with you and your publication by publishing often.

8. Write to your viewers as if they were your best friends.

Speak to them one on one. Use their name in the subject line and in your introduction. Tell a story they can relate to but don't get too wordy. The idea here is to make them feel that their best interest is at hand, that you can relate to their wants and needs and above all, you want to help.

9. Don't get carried away with advertisements Once your readers feel that you are selling them instead of informing them, they'll go elsewhere. Advertisements are ok but keep them in line with the topic of your newsletter.

10. Test, Test and Retest!

It's always good to email a test newsletter to yourself. Check for spelling and grammar errors and make sure all your links work correctly. Nothing turns off readers faster than poor spelling, grammar and formatting errors.

3 Ways To Increase Your List Numbers From Inperson Events

Writen by Alicia Forest

Do you often attend in-person events, such as workshops, networking breakfasts, and seminars, and as you speak with people you collect a handful of business cards, but then you don't know what to do with them?

Of course if someone's expressed an interest in your services, you want to follow up with them, but most people you talk with at these events may not need your services RIGHT NOW, yet they very well may in the future.

So how do you make sure you're at their fingertips when they do need you? Get them on your list! That way you'll have the opportunity to continue to get in front of them in a subtle way. Remember, though, never to put anyone on your list who hasn't give you permission to do so.

Here are three ways to encourage people to get on your list when you meet them in person, without being pushy:

1. Put your Pink Spoon offering (your freebie product that draws people into your marketing funnel) information on the back of your business card, or on whatever other materials you hand out.

Business cards are the standard pass-around marketing tool at these kind of events, but if the back of your card is blank, you're losing valuable real estate. There are several things you could add to the back of your card, and one of them is the information for your Pink Spoon.

Write a snappy sentence describing the benefit that the reader will get if they sign up, along with the website address of where they can subscribe. For example, on the back of one of my cards it says, "Want to increase your income and client base by 20%? Sign up for my FREE ecourse to show you how at www.clientabundance.com."

2. Email each person whose business card you collected within a week. Send a brief email to each person you met, reminding them that they can sign up for your freebie offering at your website. Make sure you include a live link to make it super-easy for them to click and sign up.

I sent this note to someone I met at a party recently:

"Dear Christine, It was so great to meet you at Cathy's party last weekend. I enjoyed swapping the joys and trials of juggling a business and a family, and I'm really impressed with all you do having three children under the age of 6!

I wanted to send you the link to my free ecourse and ezine that I think would really help you in your marketing of your business. It's http://www.clientabundance.com.

Keep in touch and let me know if there are other ways I can help you!

cheers, Alicia"

3. If you're a speaker at the event, or if it's your own event, have a sign-up sheet for the attendees. At the beginning and end of your talk, make sure you tell your audience that they can receive FREE valuable information from you if they will simply sign-up on the form. Ask them for their first name and email address, and make note on the form what it is they will receive.

You can give each person a separate sign-up form or have one that you pass around for everyone to sign. You can also pass around a basket or bowl for people to drop their cards into to win a prize, AND to be put on your list to receive your Pink Spoon. (Most email list services require anyone signing up to double opt-in now, so you will be giving them another opportunity to confim that they do in fact want to be on your list after you've added them.)

You've probably heard "the fortune is in the follow-up" and that's exactly what this will do for you. If you collect their names and email addresses at the event, add them to your list with their permission, or send them a reminder email to do it themselves, your Pink Spoon will do the follow up for you. It will keep you on your prospects' radar screens so you'll come to mind immediately when they do need your services. And that's exactly what you want!

Is There Still Room For Me

Writen by Theresa Cahill

I'm over at one of my newly discovered and now favorite quick search sites, mikes-marketing-tools.com, and I decided to check out the search terms submitted to the search engines within the past 24 hours.

The search limits itself to the top 300 most commonly typed terms (and eliminates any ad^u^lt stuff which is cool by me).

In just moments the list is generated and I begin to work my way down the list. What I'm keeping my eye open for are terms relevant to what I'm doing online - ezine advertising and ezine publishing. I'm interested in learning what specific marketing terms others online are typing - hey every little bit of knowledge helps.

And the results?

Nary one single word...!

Yep, I think it sort of amazed me, too. And then I thought about it a bit more and realized - this was a good thing! Imagine how much room is left for building a business and marketing effectively online.

If you've been online for a while and sometimes find yourself muttering, "Oh the market is just flooded, there's nothing new I can do, create, or build. Everyone's seen this and done that..." then think again!

Somewhere I heard that about 400 people discover the internet for the first time about every 20 seconds. Wow! Think about that, every 20 seconds.

Now, they aren't all going to come storming "over here" right away. Most go online to search for new cars, or mortgage rates, or game cheat codes or new music.

But, didn't most of us start there, too?

And then one day something happened, maybe it was signing up to receive that first ezine and wham! before you knew what hit you, you're a marketing fool :)

So don't despair, but do be realistic. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither will your internet empire. But it can't grow at all if you throw up your hands and walk away.

Persistance and determination and plain common sense.

Use these three friends wisely... and keep your eye on those search terms, you never know when or where that next great idea may come from!

Multiply Your Email List Size Using An Offline List Broker

Writen by Michael Senoff

One of the big Internet marketing breakthroughs you may hear people talking about is using direct mail.

In other words, getting the postal addresses of your email list and sending them offline offers. Many of the top Internet marketers in the world do this and swear they double, triple even quadruple their sales.

And I believe this to be true from my own tests and observations as well.

But what's even more exciting is that many of these experts are renting lists of offline people and driving them to their websites to capture their email addresses. In other words, expanding their email lists using offline lists.

However, if you decide to do this, you must be careful of who you get your lists from. There is an art to finding a good mailing list and most Internet marketers haven't really had a chance to learn about it.

Which brings me to a recent interview I did with legendary copywriter Bob Bly. Bob gave me a great tip on making the whole list renting issue painless and easy.

What he said was to never, ever rent a list from a list owner. Reason why is because you are obviously not going to be getting an unbiased answer when you inquire as to the quality of the list. A list owner can (and probably will in many cases) tell you whatever you want to hear.

And so Bob said to always go to a good list broker. A list broker being someone who finds lists for you, does all the work and then delivers you the exact list you are looking for.

The way Bob explained it to me was it costs you nothing to use a list broker since he gets paid by the list owner, not you. Plus, it is in the broker's best interest to please you and give you what you want since he wants your repeat business. If he messes around and gives you a non-responsive list, or doesn't actually go the extra mile to make sure you are happy and successful and make money from your mailing, then he knows you probably won't be back.

This may sound like simple advice. But the fact is most Internet marketers have never dealt with offline lists before and it can be a totally different animal than online lists and joint ventures.

And so, if you are going to be expanding your Internet marketing business by going to offline lists and trying to drive them to your online list, make sure you consider the advice Bob gave in the interview.

It could save you a lot of time, money and frustration.

Affiliate Marketing The List And Why You Need It

Writen by Dave Cooper

If you are new to affiliate marketing, you might not yet be aware of the greatest resource at your disposal. No, it isn't the latest guide to using Adwords to drive pay-per-click traffic to your promotional efforts. It's not a great product, either. It's not a great copywriting style or a good collection of product testimonials. It's your list.

The list to which we are referring is your list of potential product buyers. You generate that list the first day you start working in affiliate marketing. You find ways to build a healthy mailing list of people who may later become customers (and those who have already made purchases. When you come across a great product to promote, you can pitch it to your list instead of relying on site construction and finding ways to generate traffic to your sales sites.

How do you assemble a good list? There are a lot of tactics. One popular strategy is to offer a free giveaway and to require an email address to get them. The person obtaining the freebie is required to opt-in to your mailing list in order to get access. Freebies may consist of anything from an on-topic report to a piece of software. You can be creative or stick with the tried and true.

Most successful affiliate marketers spend a great deal of time keeping their list happy and developing a level of trust and credibility with those on it. They may supply a regular free newsletter that provides both valuable content and sales efforts relating to products they may find useful. A great newsletter can develop a loyal following of readers who will trust the affiliate's judgment with respect to product recommendations.

The results can be amazing. Instead of waiting months to build adequate supplies of site traffic, the affiliate marketer can instantly access a horde of potential buyers with a simple email.

The list is an affiliate marketer's lifeblood. One of the reason those who are already established seem to have the "Midas touch" every time they choose a new product actually owe their success to having built a strong list to whom they can sell. The list becomes their route to impressive fast sales.

Building an enviable list will can take time and effort, but the end result is more than worthwhile. You end up with a list of people you know to be interested in the kinds of items you are promoting and are able to tailor a message to their overall needs.

It's never safe to say that any sale is easy. However, sales do tend to come a bit faster and bit easier to those who have cultivated a great list. Veteran internet marketers like to say "it's all about the list," and there's a reason why that saying is true. The list is any affiliate marketers best sales tool.

Always Collect An Email Address

Writen by Sorna Devadas

The power of collecting an email address is amazing. As I mentioned in a prior article, you can expect between 1 and 10 percent of visitors to make a purchase on their initial visit to your website (conversion rate) and between 10 and 33 percent to give you their email address (signup rate). Often visitors weren't intending to buy any product but were after more information on your subject. Studies show it often takes 7 communications before a customer will buy a product. Believe me, after selling websites, it's very rare to get a 'yes' on the first visit. Websites can be quite complex so maybe it's not the best example but people just need more information and confidence before they're ready to buy.

We need to offer the customer an awesome product that they simply can't say no to for them to give us their email. Often people have no intention of handing out their email address but a careful planned report or mini-course that is instantly delivered to them is often incentive enough for them to build that bridge.

The method of collecting email addresses is called an autoresponder. That is, a database that stores names and email addresses and can send out pre-programmed email addresses to recipients. These can be customised and sent instantly, 1 day, 5 days and anywhere up to 10 years after the initial email was collected. Very powerful and effective. Third party autoresponders that sit on a separate server are the most effective and you can generate your own signup form to place on your website.

You can also send an email to your database at any time. Let's look at an example of the power of an email database. Let's say you attract 200 visitors each day (easily possible) and have a signup rate of 15%, so that's 30 email addresses a day, and after a year you have 10 950. If you mailout a promotion for a course you have created that costs $97 and just 3% of your list signs up (quite reasonable), that's an income of $31 864.50 just from one mailout. This profit is realised over a few days and a great example of the power of a distribution list and a value-adding product. So make sure you ask for that email address. Our goal is to add value for our customers so we need to work out what information will be useful to them and make it available. The easiest way to do that is via email.

Keep Your Subscribers With You And More Importantly Buying From You

Writen by Lee Lister

You have your most important internet business asset – your mailing list – but you don't seem to be selling very much. What's the problem?

Make your Ezines and Promotional Items Interesting and Fun
Try and be creative, but also give your subscribers what they want to receive. How do you do this – well research first and then ask them! Keep researching in your area and make it so that your list is eager to hear from you. Make sure that you keep to the theme of your web site, products you sell and title of your ezine.

Treat Your Customers with Respect
Your customers are hard won, treat them with respect, look after them and make sure that they are totally satisfied with what you have sold them so far. That way they will stay with you and even recommend you to other people.

Don't Bully or Hassle Them
Don't send multiple emails or emails tightly spaced so that you are constantly in the inbox of your clients. This is a good way to be treated as spam. Similarly don't heavy sell your services or products. Give your list something to look forward to when they open your email.

Use Compelling Headlines
Sometimes the hardest thing is to get your emails read. Eye catching headlines that do not look like spam and provide a personal touch have more chance of your email being opened.

Make it Easy to Forward your Emails
Put your contact details on the email and encourage your readers to forward it to others that may be interested. Of course you need some good content in the email so that there is something to send! Consider including some viral content such as a joke, interesting story, useful information etc.

Keep Reminding Them Why They Subscribed
Some people forget why or when they subscribed so tell them regularly. More importantly make what you are providing interesting and something to look forward to.

Don't Keep Giving Stuff Away
Of course, you should provide something to inspire your potential customer to subscribe but you don't want they to be on your list just for the give aways otherwise they will never buy from you! Just offer some good quality cheaper goods, discounts or the occasional giveaway.

Keep Mentioning Your Web Site
Make sure that your readers remember your web site by keep mentioning it – either in the header or sign off of your email. Put links with reviews, giveaways and discounts in your email so that people keep revisiting your site and become familiar with your company.

Keep Changing and Improving
Your emails should have a recognizable structure but should never become "samey". The internet is fast changing – you should reflect this. Similarly don't keep promoting the same product. Boredom or staleness will have people heading for the unsubscribe link.

Keep Your Readers Involved
Add Coupons to your email providing your subscribers with discounts on different products each month. Competitions with good prizes are another good idea for those with larger lists. Tell them about Joint Ventures you are involved with. Keep them eager to receive your newsletters.

Above all – keep them happy and coming back to your web site time after time.

Good luck!

Name Squeeze Pages What Are They And Why Do You Need Them

Writen by Jason DeVelvis

There are many terms that are used in the Internet marketing world. Some are confusing, and some are simple. Some are simple but made to sound confusing. Name squeeze page how to information is a relatively new term, but it's a technique that has been around for quite some time. Name squeeze page how to information is one of the first steps used by successful marketers for lead generation. Without leads, sales cannot be made – but getting good leads these days can be hard work – unless you know how to use a name squeeze page.

You've surely heard of opt-in lists. If you haven't, an opt-in list is an email list of people who have agreed to receive information from you in their email inboxes. If you send them commercial email messages without that permission, you are spamming them – and that is against the law now. However, if you have their permission, you are not spamming them. They have the option of unsubscribing from your list anytime that they want to, and you must honor any remove requests that you receive.

An opt-in list is gold to an Internet marketer, and this is the end result of name squeeze pages. A name squeeze page is a webpage on your website that is intended to get the name and email address of visitors to the page. Now, there are many scripts that you can use to collect information about your visitors without them knowing about it, but this is not ethical, and in most cases, it violates the spam laws and privacy laws that are in effect.

To make an effective name squeeze page, you want to provide information that interests your readers and makes them want to be directed to more information, or to receive information via email. The visitor will be required to provide their name and email address for this information. This also works well when you have a freebie to give away, such as an ebook or free report. You can require the visitor to enter their email and name, and agree to receive information from you in the future in order to get the free download.

These names and email addresses that your name squeeze page collects can be added to your mailing list. You are now free to email them your newsletters and offers. But you should mail responsibly. Email good information or product reviews to your list, as opposed to spammy type advertisements. If you are mailing what appears to be spam to your list, you will lose a lot of subscribers in a very short time – and all of your efforts will be wasted.

Creating a name squeeze page is not hard. You just need some copy on the page that will make the visitor want to sign up. Of course the page needs to have a sign up form, and the HTML code for such a form can be obtained from your autoresponder service. Using an autoresponder service that requires double opt-in subscribing is highly recommended. The confirmation page that the person sees after confirming the subscription through email should redirect the visitor to the information that they are seeking, or to the free download that you are offering.

Name squeeze pages how to information is popping up all over the Internet. This is happening because this technique works. Internet marketers are using name squeeze pages on a regular basis to build massive opt-in lists. If lead generation is important to your business, you need to get your name squeeze pages up and working for you as soon as possible.

Using Articles To Build List

Writen by Sanjay Johari

How do you feel when you see webpages in the Google search with your name ? I am presently surprised every time Google alert informs me that one more webpage with my name has been indexed.

But why would Google index those pages? I remember submitting just one page when my first website came into existence. Yet Google search with my name will show up thousands of pages.

The reason is not difficult to find. It is because of my articles which are published at numerous sites. This is one of the privileges of being an author – free publicity for months and years after the articles are submitted to just few ezines.

This and many other features make articles effective vehicles to find opt-in leads. If you publish relevant and useful articles on your website or blog, you can include a webform to collect contact details of interested persons. This will ensure that only those who have some interest in the subject of the articles will seek further information.

When you submit articles to ezines, you have the option to add a resource box. This is where you can tell the readers about yourself and how they can get more information. Your articles give you wide publicity, build up your credibility and help you to establish yourself as an expert in the field. It is amazing how your articles are picked up by so many different websites and ezines and distributed with viral effect.

In any marketing effort it is easier to find eager customers first and then offer suitable products which will satisfy their expectations. Your articles can help you do just that. It will first attract people, who are looking for information on resolving their problems, concerns or desire. Those who want to know more will ask for it and you get more people in your list. You get a chance to contact your list repeatedly and try to remove any apprehensions or doubts they may have about what you have to offer. You need to sell yourself as much as your product and again you accomplish this with your articles.

The "list" should be considered and treated as a list of friends. You should try to connect to them at emotional level. This is a crucial factor in building relationship. Your intent is revealed by your writing. Therefore it is crucial to be absolutely honest about the message you wish to convey.

The cost involved in using articles for advertisement is negligible. Yet it is profoundly effective. Well written articles full of content and useful information will help in building your list as more subscribers join. Your writing should be able to produce that anticipation by which your subscribers will be looking forward to the next newsletter.

This is a step to make your list more responsive. As more people find your articles interesting and relevant your conversion rate is bound to increase. You know your subscribers, you know what is bothering them and you offer solutions to them. They joined your list for this reason in the first place. Retaining a list is as important as building it. The longer your subscribers remain loyal to you, the more they will trust you and they are more likely to listen to your advice.

It would appear that there is a natural connection between writing articles and building a list. The articles you see on the net have characters of their own. They are presented in conversational form as if someone is talking to you. This is different from the articles your find in printed media where the articles tend to be are more essay-type. This unique feature of net-based articles makes them suitable for newsletters. Emails are most common medium for maintaining contact with your list. You are able to communicate to them at regular intervals and gradually clear their apprehensions.

Once you have a growing list your aim should be to retain it for lifetime. You and your list are bound by a common interest and personal relationship. This is your most important asset – the real earnings for your marketing efforts.

List Building 101 An Introduction To List Building

Writen by Gary Gross

You have your web site, now how to get traffic. Are you just going to hope people just happen to stumble across it and buy from you? Not a very good way to succeed. You could wait forever for that first customer. No matter what your online business is, you need a list to really succeed. As they say, "The Money is in the List!" But how do you build a list? There are several ways of doing this. Three are listed below. You can use any or all of them.

Forums and discussion boards.
Using this method, you will want to find forums and discussion boards related to your business. Use Google or whatever search engine you prefer to find a list of them and post on several. Post several times before posting you lead capture link. Let them get to know you first. This way you are more likely to get people to click on your link. As these are people who are already interested in the same things your business is about, they will be more likely to be highly targeted, responsive people with an intense interest in your business.

Ebay and Paypal.
If you have bought or sold anything through Ebay or Paypal related to your business, there could very likely be people in your records who would like to know more about what you have to offer. Send them an e-mail with your lead capture link, asking them if they would like to subscribe to your newsletter or e-zine. A one time e-mail is best with a notice that they will not receive more if they choose not to subscribe is best. Those who do subscribe are those who have a high interest in what you offer.

Joint Venture Giveaways.
This is a method that has proven very successful in building lists very fast. Start by joining a giveaway as a subscriber and you will soon have access to many giveaways. You will, of course, need a product of your own that has value that you can give away. When people click on the link to get your product, they will be taken to your lead capture page where they must subscribe before getting the download link. There are two ways of giving the download link. You can have your lead capture page take the customer directly to the download page. The best way, though, is to send a confirmation link to double-opt-in to your list, then send the download link. You will want an autoresponder to do this and all the other ways of capturing leads.

These three methods are not by any means the only way to build your list, but they are among the easiest and quickest ways to build a targeted, responsive list. You will be amazed at how quickly your list will grow. There will always be some who drop from the list but don't be discouraged. With good content, it will continue to grow, especially if you continue to use thses methods of getting subscribers to your list.

10 Effective Ways To Gain More New Ezine Subscribers

Writen by Ken Hill

1. Swap ads with other ezine publishers.

Swap sponsor, feature, classified or solo ads with
publishers who have subscribers targeted to be interested
in what your ezine covers.

This will provide both you and the other publisher with a
terrific way to get more subscriptions at no cost.

When choosing ezines to swap ads with, pick ezines that
offer content that your new subscribers would be interested
in, but not ezines that compete directly with you.

2. Write articles.

Your articles will give you a powerful way to get more new
subscribers through your resource box at the end of your
articles.

Submit your articles to article directories, article
announcement lists and also to ezine publishers looking for
articles to run in their ezines.

You could also create a list that announces when you've
written a new article or articles to get more publishers to
run your articles on a regular basis.

3. Create an ebook compilation of your articles and use it
as a bonus for subscribing to your publication.

Multiply the number of subscriptions you get from your ebook
by letting other ezine publishers use it as a bonus for
subscribing to their ezines.

You can also let people rebrand your ebook with a link to
their site or ezine to get more people to offer your ebook
as a bonus or on their sites.

4. Swap recommendations with other ezine publishers.

You could recommend another publisher's ezine in your own
words to your subscriber base in exchange for her doing the
same for you.

You could also run a recommended ezines section in each
issue or recommend other publishers' ezines on your "thank
you" page or in your welcome message in exchange for the
same to get long term promotion of your ezine.

5. Submit your ezine to ezine directories.

Your submissions will get your ezine noticed by people
interested in the topic your ezine covers.

Submitting your ezine to ezine directories can also help you
find more advertisers for your ezine and also other
publishers who would like to participate in joint ventures
with you.

6. Use ezine announcement lists to promote your ezine.

Many ezine announcement lists allow you to post ads for your
ezine on a weekly or monthly basis giving you an easy way to
successfully promote your ezine on an ongoing basis.

7. Make a sample issue available on your site or by
autoresponder.

Your sample issue will increase your subscriptions by
providing your visitors with a taste of the quality content
to be found in your ezine.

8. Use your signature file to promote your ezine.

Add a signature file that promotes your ezine to your
outgoing emails and also to your posts to discussion lists
or online forums.

9. Purchase advertising in other ezines.

Run your ad in ezines that you enjoy and reach your target
audience or search ezine directories for ezines that offer
good advertising rates.

Place your ad for at least three issues in a row as
repetition will help you get the most new subscribers from
your ads.

10. Place f~ree ads in other ezines.

Many ezine publishers allow their subscribers to place a
f~ree ad on a weekly, monthly or per issue basis as a
benefit to subscribing to their publications.

Track your f~ree ads so that you'll know which ad copy
produces the greatest results and which ezines would be good
choices to pay for advertising in or swap ads with.

Ezine List Building The Top 3 Ways To Grow Your List

Writen by Stacey Morris

One of my first suggestions to new clients is to develop a newletter, or ezine. Ezines help you stay in touch with past clients and prospects, while providing them with valuable information, tips, strategies, and plans to accomplish their goals.

One of the biggest challenges service professionals face is building a large list. You use your list to provide valuable content to your reader, establish your credibility, and increase your visibility. I had originally thought to call this article "How to Build Your List to 10,000+" but truthfully, quality counts more than quantity when it comes to providing services.

Your list could be comprised of sub-lists of your newsletter subscribers, past and current clients, customers who have bought products from you, or a list of names you've compiled through networking. There are dozens of ways to promote your services online, some quite creative. Below I've listed the three ways to grow your list that are both effective and easy to implement--immediately. Experiment with each of these.

1) Signature File

2) Make it Easy

3) Dedicated Website

Signature Files

These are the messages that you can automatically insert at the end of every e-mail you send. You can change them frequently, and it's free advertising for you. You want to include the following:

Your name and company name Your Contact Info A plug for your newsletter A link right to the newsletter page on your website

Change your sig file every couple of months or so, anytime you want to emphasize a different service or product

Make it Easy

You want to make it as easy and compelling for your reader to immediately sign up for your ezine. Put a sign-up box on every page of your site, and highlight it on the home page. Use an attention-getting headline that immediately invites the visitor to read on.

Have a Dedicated Web Page, and offer an incentive

Have a page that describes your ezine in all its glory. A separate page indicates that you're serious about your articles. Offer a workbook or report, or even develop an audio that can help your prospects immediately.

With so many ezines being offered, you want to stand out by offering something of high value as an incentive to your prospective subscribers.

By consistently sending useful information to your list, you establish your credibility, and stay on their radar, so the next time they need your services, they'll immediately think of you.

Affiliate Email List Building A Customer List

Writen by Karen Kari

You can't sell through your site if nobody can find it, and one of the most reliable ways to get them to visit is to invite them. And the easiest way to invite them is to via email. But beware, and approach email as if a "do not email list" existed today, as it may in the future. Is someone hasn't given you express permission to email them something with a commercial message, do not send anything. This is considered spamming and it will ruin the good will you've worked so hard to build for your site. It can also subject you to fines and other penalties.

So, how can you create an email list?

Draw people to your site via search engines, and offer them something of value, such as an ezine or newsletter subscription, in exchange for their email address.

Speak, network, and give classes; have participants sign up for your electronic newsletter or ezine.

Be sure your brochures, marketing materials, and handouts reference your site and the free information available. When they visit, have a form so they can subscribe to your information. Once anyone subscribes, autorespond, asking them to confirm that they indeed do want to hear from you in the future.

NEVER take a shortcut by borrowing or renting an email list.

Once you have built a list, keep these targeted visitors interested by periodically providing them with a e-publication that addresses their information needs – anything from updates on legislation to e-book chapters to tips and how tos. Give them a way to contact you to ask questions, and actively solicit their opinions on your site and new information they would like to receive. Always give them an easy way to opt out of your list, every time you communicate with them. This way you will have a highly targeted list of qualified buyers – a must for online commerce.

How To Get Your Customers To Fall In Love With Your Products And Services

Writen by Daniel Lok

Let me ask you a question, "How do YOU build loyal customers?"

The best way to build loyal customers is by using the loyalty ladder concept. I want you to picture an ordinary ladder.

Now consider each rung of the ladder. Each "rung" is a "stage" of loyalty a customer may have. There are many different stages of loyalty customers demonstrate at each rung of the ladder:

* Raving Fan

* Devotee

* Member

* Customer

* Shopper

* Prospect

* Suspect

Let's describe each of these in more detail.

Suspect

The suspect is the lowest rung on your ladder, when a customer starts out on your loyalty ladder. This is when customer's are at the very bottom of your ladder. These are people who may or may not want or need what it is you sell. They may not have any money. They are simply people who are not buying.

Prospect

Prospects are suspects who have taken some sort of action like subscribing to your newsletter, giving you their email addresses or those who have asked you for some sort of free information. They are people who may turn into active customers, but aren't there yet.

Customer

A customer is anyone who has actually spent money with you. You have to differentiate between your prospects and your customers. This is one of the reasons it is so damn important you segment your lists. You don't want to have everyone on ONE BIG list.

At the very least, you should have a prospect list and customer list. You should treat your prospects and customers very differently. You should always give your customers more attention. Give them a better deal than everyone else. Why? They are already paying you for your products and services. Prospects are important, but customers are even more important.

Member

A member is someone who buys from you more than once. These are customers that now trust you. They feel they belong with you in some way. Now listen up. Customers who make two purchases are 10 times more likely to make more than someone who makes only one purchase with you. So anyone who is a member deserves special attention, because if they buy twice, they are likely to buy again.

Devotee

What's the difference between a devotee and a member? A devotee is someone who not only buys from you, but tells other people about you. They send you referrals. They promote you actively. They are happy to be your free sales force because they get so much value from you.

Raving Fan

The next stage in the ladder is Raving Fans. Usually only 1% to 5% of your customers become Raving Fans. They're one of your most valuable assets. They pretty much own everything you have. And, whatever new products and service you come up with, they will buy without blinking an eye.

The Raving Fan will stick with you for years as long as you don't screw up in a major way.

There's a very strong trust and bond with you and the Raving Fans. They trust you 100%. They want to see you succeed. They want to see you do well. If a devotee is someone who sells for you, a Raving Fan is someone who can't STOP selling for you. Raving Fans tell everyone about how fantastic you are. They talk about your company. They love you.

These days it's more expensive than ever to get a new customer. Most businesses in fact are acquiring their customers at a loss or break-even point. That means you have to get your customers to come back to you and buy again and again.

Why? That customer isn't simply profitable to you. They are your most important resource. What you want, what you need is as many raving fans as you can get.

You will succeed when you sort your prospects from suspects, move people up from prospects to customers, from customers to raving fans.

You need to have a marketing system that automatically moves people up the loyalty ladder as quickly as humanly possible.

Sincerely,

Dan Lok

9 Surefire Ways To Increase Your Ezines Readership

Writen by Rojo Sunsen

You Have Won!

Hold an ongoing prize drawing in your e-zine. The prizes should be something of interest or value to your subscribers. Most people who enter will continually read each issue for the results.

100% Original

Give your subscribers content they can't read anywhere else. I'm not saying all your content has to be 100% original, but a portion of your e-zine should have original information. People will usually read information they haven't read before.

Was I Right?

Give your subscribers a quiz or a series of trivia questions. Publish the correct answers in your following issue. The people who participate will want to see if they were right.

Read All About It!

Supply news stories related to your e-zine's topic. People want current and up-to-date news. If you can be their first source, they will become loyal readers.

The Polls Are In!

Hold an interactive poll in your e-zine. Ask subscribers a poll question. Have them e-mail their vote or opinion. People love to give their 2 cents worth. They would also like to read the results in your next issue.

Become A Jester :)

Give your subscribers a little humor now and then. Don't be so serious, tell them a joke. If they associate your e-zine with being happy they will want to read every issue.

The Information Free-way

People love to get free stuff. Tell readers were to get free stuff online or offline. It could be software, services, sample products, e-books etc. The freebies should be related to your e-zine's topic. Keep the freebies coming and your subscribers will keep reading!

Mini-Yahoo

Tell your subscribers about Web sites related to your e-zine's topic. The web sites should be interesting and helpful. Become your readers miniature "Yahoo", you know how many readers they get.

In Our Next Issue...

Get your subscribers excited about your next issue. Tell them about upcoming articles, prize drawings, freebies etc. If they know what's in store for them, they won't want to miss reading your next issue.

Practical Strategies To Boost Your Ezine Readership

Writen by Jeremy Hershberger

Do you have a fresh ezine ready to start taking subscribers but don't know how to attract them?

Maybe you have a list already operating that you want to enhance.

There are many practical methods available online that can be applied to either situation, some free and some not. This article will cover the basics of:

• Buying leads

• Submitting to ezine directories

Buying Leads:

The easiest way to build your list is to buy "leads" from companies such as ListOpt or LeadFactory. Leads are people who have shown an interest in what you offer, and provide you their name and email address.

What you do is create an ad, usually about three lines long, 60 characters to a line, and the lead company will put your ad out on the Internet and capture potential prospects for you.

What you must absolutely avoid are companies who sell pre-assembled lists of email addresses. These addresses are not "opt-in", and are not only worthless but can get you accused of spamming!

An "opt-in" lead is a person who has specifically seen YOUR ad and shown an interest in what you offer by giving out their email address JUST for the purpose of getting on your list.

It is important to distinguish between "single opt-in" and "double opt-in" when buying leads. Most good lead companies will offer both, double opt-in being slightly more expensive.

In the case of single opt-in, when a potential prospect gives their email address in response to your ad, it is then supplied to you as-is. You don't know for SURE that the address you got really belongs to the person who supplied it.

With double opt-in, the lead company will send a "confirmation" email to the address supplied by each potential prospect, requiring them to click a link to verify that they are indeed the owner of that email address. As you can imagine, double opt-in leads are more safe and secure.

NOTE: If you use an autoresponder like GetResponse to run your ezine, check your user settings to see if your list sends out a "confirmation" email to verify subscribers. If so, and if you buy double opt-in leads from a lead company, you will in effect be creating a "triple opt-in" process for your potential prospects! This may severely reduce your readership, as people will have to not only confirm their email address through the lead company, but once again through your autoresponder. The idea is to only make them confirm once, so either buy single opt-in leads and have your autoresponder confirm, or buy double opt-in leads and don't let your autoresponder confirm. Be aware that in GetResponse, once you turn the confirmation feature on, you cannot turn it back off, ever.

The lead company you choose may have different options for delivering your potential prospects to you. These may include a daily list sent to you via email, which you will then have to import manually into your autoresponder (if you use one), or they may send prospects directly to your autoresponder. Be sure to review all these options before choosing a lead company.

Submitting to ezine directories:

An ezine directory is a website which compiles a list of ezines. Some only list ezines that relate to a certain subject while others allow a wide range of subjects.

Most directories will not allow ezines which contain pornography, "hate", "anti-government", or other related subject matter to be listed on their site.

Submitting your ezine to a directory costs nothing and takes little time. Just go to any major search engine and look up 'ezine directories'.

Some results for your search will be actual ezine directories, others may be web pages which contain a list of them. Browse through all sites methodically to find as many ezine directories as possible.

In each directory, there will be a link somewhere on the website that says something to the effect of "submit your ezine". When you click it, you will be taken to a page with a submission form to fill out.

Be sure to give the details of your ezine in a purely informational style. It is not an advertisement, so leave out all catch-phrases and other hype.

Visit as many directories as time allows. The more you submit to, the more people searching for the information you offer will be likely to find your ezine while browsing those directories.

There is a software program called EzineAnnouncer which makes this whole process much quicker. It will submit your ezine to a large number of directories for you, without you having to spend time doing it all manually. It costs money, so check it out and decide for yourself if you feel it's worth it.

How much time and money you spend is up to you. If you formulate a plan and stick with it, using the techniques outlined above will result in a significant boost (even an explosion!) in your ezine subscriber list. Give them a try, you will be surprised by how well they work.
