Build Your Email List For Perpetual Profits

Writen by Karima Begag

If you are totally new to internet marketing the list is simply a collection of e-mail contact addresses from highly targeted prospects, in other words the list contains e-mails from people who signaled their interest to receive more information from you after they visited your website on the internet.

It is pretty straight forward, people like you and me surf the internet looking for good and free information on topics that interest them and when they "stumble" upon your website they learn that you have great products that can help them solve certain problems or just info-products on subjects they want to educate themselves in, like for example an e-book about "how to train your dog so it will obey you" or "great soup recipes" or "how to shed the last 10 pounds"…

However, most of the people won't buy your product immediately no matter how excellent it is but they would be more than inclined to give you their e-mail address and their permission to send them more information for free. This information is usually a newsletter you publish and send to your subscribers on a regular basis or free good reports offering them the kind of quality information they are hungry for.

Many experienced Internet marketers discovered that some subscribers never buy before they have received 5 to 7 messages from you. And if you think about it for a second, having prospects to contact is like building a new relationship with someone you didn't know before but you hope to become friends with , some day.

Invest in your Education and Make Money

You would be very wise indeed if you respected and highly valued your subscribers by giving them the best service you can give them. A good way to do that is to keep educating yourself and by asking them what they would like to know and give it to them. Eventually they will buy your products and it goes without saying that your products must be outstanding! Meaning you should have a system for perpetual improvements in order for you to make perpetual profits selling awesome products to groups of people who are hungry for them and can use them to help themselves in some way or another.

Make your free information valuable to your subscribers and they will want to buy your products because they trust that the information they pay you for is outstanding. There are many ways to make your information stand out and valuable to your list but this is a subject for another article. In this article we'll explore some creative ways to get people to willingly sign up in your list in the first place.

You surely surfed the Internet before and you probably opted in on some websites "subscribers box". Now, stop for a second and think about it, why did you leave your e-mail contact info there? What attracted you to their website?

By answering these questions you will discover a lot about the art and science of building a profitable subscribers list. Furthermore, you can learn a lot from successful marketers so add any profitable list building strategies you discover to your online marketing efforts.

Creative and Appealing Strategies to Build You Subscribers List

1. Here comes the "first commandment of internet marketing". You have to include at least one sign up form / box where people can actually enter their names and e-mail contact. Don't bother marketing your site unless you have a way to capture e-mail addresses from interested prospects. This marketing tool is perhaps the most important thing to have because if you have no list then you have no money-making business. You need to have an autoresponder to gather e-mails and do all the follow up with your subscribers by sending them your newsletters, new product announcements and the like. If you are on a tight marketing budget you might use a free autoresponder like Get Response: type Get Response on your Google search engine and you'll find it. Good autoresponders cost around $20 per month but if you are starting off, a free autoresponder will do. Just get started and learn!

2. Offer your future customers one or more outstanding Freebies for example a free e-book or report that answers some pressing questions they have. Surf the net and look inside forums and groups from your targeted niche to find out first hand what kind of information people are looking for and most importantly what problems they want to solve. More likely than not people will also divulge the "solutions" they came up with or tips they have already tried but didn't get them the kind of results they were hoping for, so there is your chance to make a "hot selling" product for them accompanied by new "hot Freebies" and they will give you their e-mail addresses.

3. Create an opt-in box in every single page of your site. This works great because people are encouraged to give you their e-mail when they see an opt-in box promising them an instant download of an excellent report and some people might come to your site through any page the search engine indexed other than your home page.

4. Write articles and post them on your website to increase your search engine exposure and invite people to enter their e-mails so you can send them more of the valuable stuff you have to offer. Article marketing will generate traffic to your site: post good articles on article directories. If you have some specialized or expert's knowledge share it with the people and they will click on your link and make your list grow.

5. Show your autoresponder address when you place adds or in your author's resource box so you can follow up with your prospects by sending them free info.

6. Use pop-up windows with a different "instant Freebie" and you will increase your e-mail capture rate dramatically. People are always interested in different free reports. Keep changing or updating your Freebies and adding more enticing stuff to give to your website visitors.

7. A clever way to get more prospects is to publish a really good ezine with tips and tricks they can use and ask them to share it with friends and associates. Some people would enter in a snail mail of their friends so send those a letter or postcard with a gift offer so they can visit your website, leave their e-mail and get a special Freebie not advertised otherwise.

8. If you have a physical or conventional business plus a website to sell products or services ask your customers to give you their e-mail so you can keep them up to date with changes and they can receive your helpful ezine.

9. Use contests so people give you their addresses but be careful and aware of any rules that may apply to certain types of contests.

10. Make a teleseminar and upload the audio to your site, create a pop-up window so the visitors who are interested have to enter their e-mail before getting access to your valuable audio seminar.

11. Interview specialists and ask people to enter the e-mail before they can access the new and hot information.

12. Think of new ways to make your website, free info and products attractive to your visitors. Ask them to leave feedback and to ask you questions and deliver to them what they want to know so they will buy what they want to have from you.

Internet marketing is a great money making opportunity and you need to be well informed and aware of your potential customers' needs and the type of information they're interested in, the kind of problems they want to solve, then simply do your very best to give it to them and watch your sales soar and your income increase. Never be dishonest, give them what you promise but I suggest you give them more, surprise them with higher quality, bonuses and they will be delighted to buy from you!

Please understand that not all people who become subscribers will buy from you but I know interesting success stories where some subscribers opted in 2 or 3 years before they bought anything. Some people subscribe, unsubscribe and then subscribe again to buy so make your products irresistible to your future customers and the business is your!

To your online business success.

10 First Rate Tips To Getting More Ezine Subscribers

Writen by Ken Hill

1. Submit your ezine to ezine directories.

Ezine directories attract people interested in subscribing to ezines that provide them with information about their interests such as marketing, affiliate programs, gardening, or staying healthy.

In addition, ezine directories will help you to find people to buy advertising in your publication as well as other publishers who would like to swap ads or do a joint venture with you.

2. Promote your ezine in your signature file. Include a couple lines of promotion for your ezine in addition to the other information in your sig file.

3. Add a subscription box for your ezine on every page of your site. This will ensure that whatever page your visitors enter your site from, they will be able learn about your ezine and subscribe to your publication.

4. Provide a bonus for subscribing to your ezine such as an ebook, report, tutorial, marketing course, or access to your subscriber's only membership site.

Mention your bonus when promoting your ezine on your site, in your signature file, and when submitting your publication to ezine directories.

5. Buy classified ads or sponsor ads for your publication in ezines that you are already subscribed to and enjoy reading.

Also search ezine directories for ezines that reach your target market and offer reasonable advertising rates.

6. Swap ads with other ezine publishers. Be specific when asking for your ad swap. Clearly define where you will place the other publisher's ad and ask the other publisher to place the same ad for you.

Also ask for confirmation of your ad and a copy of the issue your ad will run in, and provide the other publisher with a copy of her ad and a copy of the issue you run her ad in.

To get the most out of your swaps trying swapping ads for at least 3 issues in a row and track your swaps, so that you will be able to pinpoint which ads and ezines give you the best response.

7. Use your articles to promote your ezine. Add a resource box that advertises your ezine to articles that you've written and run in your ezine or write articles specifically for promoting your ezine.

Next submit your articles to other ezine publishers, to article directories, and to article announcement lists.

8. Use autoresponders to promote your ezine to your visitors. Make sample issues of your ezine available by autoresponder or use your autoresponders to create an archive of all your past issues.

9. Publish testimonials/endorsements for your ezine on your site. If you've received tons of these for your ezine, use an autoresponder to deliver them to your visitors.

10. Swap recommendations with other ezine publishers. You could swap recommendations where the other publisher puts her recommendation of your ezine in her own words while you do the same for her.

You could also publish a recommended ezines section if you wanted to swap recommendations with several other ezines interested in swapping recommendations with each other.

Email Marketing Lesson How To Build An Email List Part One Of Two

Writen by Joan Pasay

So why do so many people cry and pull their hair out when it comes to building an email list? It's really simple - they don't know how to do it.

Before you start building an email list you need to know one thing.

What I'm about to tell you is so paramount you will want to stop reading this email and get a post-it note and pen ready so you can write it down.

What is this one thing that is so important?

If you have your post-it note and pen ready I will tell you!

Hmm, I sense someone is still looking for their post-it notes in their desk.

Ok, now we are ready...

The one thing you need to know before you start building an email list is:

****People like to be asked before you put them on a list****

I know it is not much of a novel concept but some people don't seem to understand why this is important. Here are a few reasons:

-People don't like getting emails unannounced (if a person does notask for something, then gets it, he/she won't expect it. The email will be a surprise. People don't like surprises unless it is a new car.)

-People will stay on an email list longer if they actually decided to go on the list in the first place.

So asking people to join is key. In the industry, it's called Permission Email Marketing or Opt-in Email Marketing.

Sounds pretty simple.

When you start building your email list you have to ask people to join (or rather, you would be wise to ask people to join). It's up to you.

Lots of companies don't ask people to join their email lists. I experience these types of emails everyday and always treat them the same - I delete them before I read them.

So let's talk about your email list.

-How will you ask people to join?

-Are you operating online? If so, what tools can you use on your

website?

-Are you operating offline? If so, what tools can you use at your place of business?

Here are some suggestions that will help point you in the right direction:

1. Ensure you are clear about the frequency of your e-newsletters.

For example: If your e-newsletter will be weekly, say so. If you intend to send five emails a day make sure your signups understand this.

2. Once the above is covered, clearly ask people to join your list.

and

3. Don't ask people to un-join your list if they don't want to join.

Un-join?

If you are wondering if un-join is a word, it isn't.

If you are wondering what the heck my last point means, you'll have to wait until Email Marketing Lesson: How To Build An Email List, Part Two of Two.

No List No Business

Writen by Bill Boyd

It is a simple fact that it costs time and money to advertise to and recruit new customers. Also very few people will buy something on their first visit to a particular website. If you can capture their email address on the first visit you can; Use THE LIST to give them a reason to keep returning again and again. This will greatly increase your chances of making a sale. Once you make your first sale to a customer you may be lucky enough to make a small profit after taking into account the cost of attracting them to your product or service.

Use THE LIST
If you can sell to that person again and again without having to spend all that time and money in finding them, then your profits will increase.

Use THE LIST
If you have sold something to someone online and you took good care of them you will build trust and therefore customers will be more likely to buy from you again.

Use THE LIST
Your customer is now your client because he or she trusts you and your service or product; they will always come to you for their needs because it's safe and easy now.

If you continue to take care of your clients they will eventually become your ambassadors, these ambassadors will promote your service through word of mouth and direct referrals, that's the best and most cost effective advertising you can get.

This is all accomplished through THE LIST.

Use your list to "stay in touch" with everyone, keep your customers informed about new information or services, give free gifts and other value adding material.

All of this will make it possible to tap into your own personal market share at any time. Without a THE LIST you will always be searching for customers.

I sincerely wish you good luck and happiness

Increase Your Ezine Signup Rate By 500 Or More Starting Today

Writen by Joseph Pattison

If you're satisfied with a newsletter subscription rate of five to ten percent, then you don't need any of the information I'm about to share with you. If you're serious about converting up to 50%, or more of your website visitors into newsletter subscribers, though, then read on. It's time to leave your low sign-up rates behind by following these two easy steps.

1. Make signing up for your newsletter your visitor's only option; otherwise they miss out on all of the free sign-up bonuses and your incredible website content. Give them something to lose. Let them know that they could be making a huge mistake by not subscribing, and back up your words with valuable free bonuses and information-rich content that makes them glad they did.

Do this by making your entry page your ezine sign-up page. If you have to write 1000-1500 words to convince them to subscribe, then do it. Treat this page like a sales page.

Tell them all of the features of subscribing, and more importantly, all of the benefits.

Don't sell them on your product, sell them on your newsletter and the valuable bonuses they'll get get by subscribing. Your home page and your newsletter signup page should be one and the same.

Here's the logic behind this strategy. Imagine that your website converts one percent of your visitors into paying customers, and ten percent into ezine subscribers, ten percent of which buy your product as well. That means that only two percent of your website visitors end up purchasing your product.

While not bad by any stretch of the imagination, imagine converting one percent of initial visitors into sales, and 50% of the remaining visitors into newsletter subscribers. Simply follow step two and your previous sales attempts will pale in comparison.

2. Now all you have to do is pre-sell them with an autoresponder that comes in seven or more installments. Assuming you're able to convert ten percent of your subscribers into paying customers, you've just converted six percent of your visitors into sales, a 200% increase!

If your product is related to the self-development field, for example, your autoresponder could be a seven-day self-help mini-course that whets their appetites and that, while helping them, leaves them wanting more.

Regardless of whether or not your ezines subscribers ever purchase the product that you are selling, you can still make back-end sales of other products, either products that you have created or that you can earn affiliate commission from.

Bear in mind that you can also use this strategy even if you're not selling your own product. You can include a link to a product offering affiliate commission at the end of each installment of your autoresponder. Do whatever affords you the best opportunity to profit!

How good your sales page and your product is, is totally in your hands. But by combining a great product, a great sales page, and the above two-step formula, there are no limits on how much you can profit!

5 Ways To Instantly Increase Your Optin Rate

Writen by Alicia Forest

Whenever someone new visits your website, your #1 goal is to get them on your email list. That way you have a method of keeping them up-to-date on your latest offerings, so when they're ready to hire you or buy your product, you're right there in their inbox.

And having a way for them to join your list that is both simple and effective will dramatically increase both your list numbers and your sales.

Here are the three biggest mistakes I see regularly on business websites:

1. Not having a way to capture your visitors. Most people don't bite on the first pass, and once they click away, it's unlikely they'll be back. Don't lose them by not having a way for them to sign up for your list.

2. The opt-in box is buried. If your visitor can't find the form to sign up, then how can they?

TIP: Testing shows that the upper right-hand corner of your webpage is still the best spot for your opt-in box.

3. The sign-up form says something unenticing like "click here for mailing list" - ugh!

So, here are 5 proven ways that you can instantly increase your opt-in rates:

1. Give your visitor only one choice.

Some of you may have heard of a 1-banana or a single action website, which is exactly that. You're giving your visitor only one option - sign up for your list via your free ezine, special report, checklist, ebook, etc. They get their freebie in exchange for giving you their email address.

One of my clients recently implemented this idea for her coaching business, which was a big leap of faith for her. I just got a joyful email from her saying that she's noticed a substantial increase in her opt-ins since!

It works, so don't be afraid to try it. And by the way, a testimonial or two on your 1-banana website doesn't hurt either.

2. Write enticing copy.

Remember that people tend to skim what they read online, so make sure you have an attention-getting headline and some additional brief copy describing the benefits your visitor will receive by signing up for your list. As always, make sure it answers the most prominent question in your visitor's mind, "what's in it for me?"

3. Have only two form fields: First Name and Primary Email

If you capture someone's name along with their email address, you can easily personalize any future correspondence with them, which is proven to increase open and response rates. In other words, if you address something to someone individually, they feel more connected and are more likely to respond well to your mailings.

If you ask for a Primary Email address, many people will give it to you, as opposed to a back-up email address that they hardly ever check. And You'll get higher quality email addresses simply by asking them to give you their primary one, which means you'll have less bounce-backs and your emails will actually get through to the people who asked to receive them.

Only having these two form fields makes it a snap for someone to sign up, and you want to make it as simple as possible for your visitor to do so.

4. Have a clear submit button.

Like having a 1-banana website, you want to make it very clear what it is that you want your visitor to do. Have your submit button say something like, "subscribe" or "sign me up now" or "send me the ecourse" (that's what mine says).

5. Share your privacy policy.

Share your privacy policy on the same page, and keep it simple. Something like, "We will never share your email address, period." will work wonders for alleviating your visitors' fears of getting lots of spam.

Follow these 5 easy-to-implement strategies and you will dramatically increase the number of websites visitors who sign up for your list!

Subscription Services Quadruple Signups With Hitech Popups

Writen by Vince Lewis

So you thought pop-ups were dead? Time to think again.

The new generation of hi-tech pop-up, also known as the Fly-In ad, is a massive breakthrough in fast moving world of internet marketing. Also known as floating, or dhtml windows

Many other forms of advertising such as ordinary pop-ups, pop-unders, banner ads and emails are not only consciously ignored by your casual internet user but also increasingly they are automatically filtered by browser technology. Ad blockers and pop-up blockers are no longer for those who buy separate tools but these are now built in to browsers like Internet Explorer and switched on by default. Current statistics are that 86% of normal pop-ups are being blocked by such software!

Hi-tech pop-ups provide an unexpected, fresh type of ad that instantly grabs people's attention. Since these ads form part of the web page you are viewing they current cannot be filtered, so the ad is guaranteed to be delivered (unless javascript is turned off).

In addition, these ads can be configured so that they cannot be ignored. In these circumstances they must be physically viewed and actively closed before the visitor can proceed.

However, you still need to choose the application of this new technology wisely. The reason for the proliferation of pop-up and ad blockers is because people don't want to see pop-ups or banner ads. It's that simple. So when should you use these little marvels?

Well, using these hi-tech pop-ups you can emphasize parts of your website or your advertising but in a subtle way. A very popular use for this is to get people to opt-in to your mailing list. It's not unknown for the careful use of a fly-in ad to increase signups to subscription services by a factor of 4, with some people claiming a ten-fold increase in quality signups.

These hi-tech ads are usually highly configurable, allowing you to specify the size, position, and image for the ad. There are some services that go one better, and allow you to specify the frequency of the ad and also more specific timings. For example, a large ad that the user has to click in, bang in the middle of the screen, could do more harm than good. Far better to:

1 – have the page load normally.

2 – have the ad "fly in" from the side after a second or two, to grab the visitor's attention.

3 – take up a reasonable size in a less obtrusive part of the page.

4 – give a simple, relevant message such as "Click here to join our free mailing list".

4 – fly out again after a few seconds if the visitor does not click on it.

5 – only show once per visit, or once per visitor.

You want the visitor to be interested in the ad, and want to read it, not have it drive them away from the site! The more sophisticated of these pop-ups will allow you to do all of these options plus more.

So with a little bit of technology and a bit of marketing savvy, it's possible to harness the power of the internet once more and get your site converting visitors into all important sales.

The author, Vince Lewis, is an experienced professional of 15 years, and has worked with many UK blue chip companies. He recommends ansa-me.com's pop-its for ease of use, functionality and customer support.

Ezine Discussion And Announcement List Etiquette

Writen by Shelley Lowery

The information super highway, countless intertwining roads of information all merging into one massive freeway. That's the Internet. Just about any form of information you could ever want, right at your fingertips.

The Internet is far more than just websites. Information is delivered via email, downloads, newsgroups and forums just to name a few. In addition, there are literally thousands of ezines, discussion groups and announcement lists.

These groups are composed of individuals who either receive information in the form of a publication or share information with a group. Although these lists can provide you with a wealth of information, they can be very time consuming for the owners. With that in mind, this article will provide you with some basic list etiquette guidelines.

Ezines

Ezines, also known as email magazines, online publications and electronic newsletters, are simply newsletters available via email and/or online.

Subscribers sign up to receive a publication and may unsubscribe at any time. This publication may be delivered to your email daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly.

Discussion Groups

Discussion groups are groups of individuals who have signed up to participate in group discussions. This type of group delivers messages to your email each time a member posts. When you reply to a message, it will be delivered to the entire group.

Announcement Lists

Announcement lists enable members to sign up to receive and post announcements in regard to a specific subject. This type of group may deliver messages as they are posted or you may receive a certain number of the messages at one time.

Forums/Message Boards

Forums or message boards are online threaded discussion groups in which messages are displayed on web pages.

Some forums require you to register in order to become a member, while others require no registration.

Moderators

Most types of discussion groups, announcement lists and forums will have one or more moderators. Moderators make sure that posts are appropriate and try to prevent spammers from posting.

Posting Guidelines

No matter what type of list or group you join, each will have its own set of posting guidelines. Make sure you always review the guidelines and double-check your post prior to submission. Not only will your message get posted more quickly, but it will also save the moderator a great deal of time.

When posting or replying to posts, make sure that you stay on topic. If you're posting to a group that focuses on "Ezines," you wouldn't want to post a question or information about "Gardening." In addition, always be very tactful. Everyone is there to learn and share information. There is absolutely no reason to hurt someone's feeling by publicly humiliating them or being rude. Keep in mind, there is a human being with feelings behind each post.

When posting to an announcement group, make sure you follow the posting guidelines. Not only will this save the list owner a great deal of time, but it will also prevent you from having to repost your message when it gets rejected.

In addition to following the guidelines, make sure that you don't post your message more than once. Announcement lists receive many submissions and only send out a certain number of posts each day. It may take up to a week or longer before your message is approved. Reposting only serves to delay the process even longer.

Unsubscribing

In order to remove yourself or unsubscribe from an ezine, discussion group or announcement list, you must follow the instructions for each individual publication. Some lists will provide a link that will instantly remove your email address. Others will require you to send an email message to remove yourself. However, you MUST send the unsubscribe email message from the same address you used to subscribe.

Many times, subscribers may use an email address that redirects to their main email account. When they try to remove themselves from a list, they can't remember which address they used to subscribe. This causes them to become frustrated and take their anger out on the list owner.

There is no way for a list owner to determine what email address a subscriber used to subscribe to the list. However, there is a way you can locate the address yourself and save yourself and the list owner a great deal of frustration.

If you're using Outlook: Under the "View" menu, select "Message header" or "Source."

If you're using Eudora: Click on the "Bla bla" button.

By viewing the message headers, you can determine what email address the message was sent to. This is the email address you used to subscribe to the group. Your unsubscribe message MUST come from this address in order to locate it within the database.

SPAM

Professional list owners will NEVER add your email address to their database without your knowledge. Most of the time, if you're receiving their publication, you subscribed and may have forgotten. Keep in mind, the keyword is "Professional" list owners. There are many list owners that use unethical means of obtaining email addresses.

Before making a "SPAM" complaint, it is VERY important that you understand the consequences. NEVER make a SPAM complaint unless you are absolutely positive that it is, in fact, SPAM. It is much better to delete one hundred potential SPAM messages than to wrongly accuse one innocent publisher of SPAM.

What you probably don't realize is that when you make a SPAM complaint about a publication, your complaint also affects advertisers and article writers that have no affiliation with the publication. One SPAM complaint can cost an innocent publisher, advertiser and writer their entire business. It's just not worth it.

Advertising

Although many ezines will allow you to purchase advertising, discussion groups, announcement lists and forums DO NOT allow blatant advertising. This is considered SPAM and will probably get you immediately removed. Most groups will allow you to include your signature. Make sure you review the guidelines prior to posting.

If we all work together and follow a few simple guidelines, we can make the Internet a better place for us all.

How To Leverage Other Peoples Lists To Build Your Own List

Writen by James Woolley

List building should be the main priority of any online business. Having your own in-house list of opt-in subscribers allows you to send marketing messages or recommendations via email to your prospects many times over, increasing your chances of making a sale, or making multiple sales if you're an affiliate marketer.

The tricky part is actually building a decent sized list to begin with that you can start profiting from.

In my experience the best way is undoubtedly by using other people's lists. What I mean by this is simply finding other marketers who have a good sized list, finding a way of accessing that list, and persuading them to join your list.

These people are the ideal people to have on your list because they are already familiar with the concept of receiving email messages from online marketers. Also if they're already subscribed to one marketer's newsletter, and are prepared to join yours as well, then they are, in all probability, happy to not only receive offers from you, but to spend money with you as well. In other words, they're the perfect subscriber that every marketer wants on their list.

So how do you access these other marketers' lists?

Well my preferred method is through writing articles, like this one you're reading at the moment. Writing good quality articles and submitting them to as many article directories as you can will result in a lot of people reading your articles, and subsequently clicking on the link to your site (where your own opt-in page is located) which you should include in the resource box.

More importantly, however, is the fact that these article directories are used by ezine and newsletter publishers to find content for their subscribers. If they pick up your article and include it in their next edition, then your article could potentially be read by several thousand subscribers, who may then click through to your opt-in page and sign up to your newsletter.

To increase your chances of your article being included in ezines, you should also submit your articles directly to the ezine publishers themselves, rather than relying on the off-chance that they will find your article in an article directory.

You should now start to see why so many marketers are using articles to promote their business and drive traffic to their sites. You can get a lot of good quality, targeted subscribers very quickly just by using this method alone, however there are other ways that you can get your site seen by other marketers' subscribers.

One free way is through finding ezine owners who allow their subscribers to place adverts in their ezine for free. This is obviously not as effective as writing articles as less people tend to take any notice of the free ads section of ezines. However, it's free so you might as well use it, even if it's just a one-time offer to new subscribers. You may only get one new subscriber from it, but you never know how much money you could potentially earn from that one person in the future.

A more effective way is by actively purchasing prominent ads in ezines. These cost more simply because they get seen more. Prices vary depending on where in the ezine you want your ad to feature. Writing articles is my preferred method of ezine advertising (albeit an indirect form of advertising), but when I do pay for advertising I don't tend to use positional ads, but instead opt for solo ads. These have constantly got me the best results, and the most subscribers, because they are sent separately from the ezine, so each subscriber only sees your message.

To conclude, there are many ways to build your list that I haven't even touched upon in this article. However, if you want a quality list, ie highly targeted opt-in subscribers who are likely to spend money with you, then advertising, either indirectly through articles, or directly through free or paid advertising in other marketers' newsletters, will deliver the type of subscriber every marketer wants.

James Woolley is a successful marketer who has several money-making sites in various niches. His latest site is a free internet marketing resource guide, which also includes a newsletter filled with free tips and bonuses:

How To Build A List Of Eager Subscribers

Writen by Gerardas Norkus

Every online business provides great service to generate satisfaction among their customers. As each and every customer receives satisfaction over their products or the services they get, there is a great chance that they will become a return customer and buy again. Better yet, they will recommend you to other people that could generate more business for you and your site.

As more traffic is driven to your site, you can entice many of them to subscribe to your mailing list or opt-in list. This is a list where in website visitors agree to be sent promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and such that could keep them updated about your site or the niche of your site. These promotional materials are sent via e-mail to the members of the list in different time intervals.

When using e-mail as the media of your marketing and advertisements, you eliminate the need for high costs. Email is free and if you can manage to make your own promotional advertisements you can also save a bundle there. With an opt-in subscribers list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by the subscribers and not simply being deleted. They have signed up for service and have consented in receiving it.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your products, new products and services as well as any promotions and special deals you are having. There is also the chance that they can be forwarded to other potential customers as they tell their friends and families about you and your site.

Of course you should be also aware that a subscriber may unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they want or expected. Make sure that they are satisfied with your opt-in marketing strategies and keep them excited in receiving your newsletters and catalogs. Here are some tips that can help you build a list of eager subscribers.

Make your promotional materials interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but not too over artsy. Build around what your product or service is about. For example; if you are selling car parts, put some pictures of what is new in the auto parts world, a new wing door possibly that can fit any car and make it look like a Lamborghini.

Try to research what people are looking for, these way, you stay one step ahead of them all the time and you will be their bearer of new tidings. They will be eager to receive what you are sending them because they new you always have fresh and new things to share with them.

Write good articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your site by clicking the links that you will be putting on your newsletter to read some more. You can provide articles that can connect to many people. Be diverse in your articles. Put something humorous, then put something informational, then put something that has both.

Are you wary about this because you don't like writing? No problem, there are many professional and experienced article writers that can do the job for you for minimal fees. They know what they are doing and can provide the need that you have for your newsletters, the money that you pay for your articles are going to be met by the many sign-ups and the potential profit from the sales that you will get.

Create and send an E-book to your customers about anything that is related to your business or site. Use your knowledge and expertise in the field you have chosen to help other people who are similarly interested. Offer this e-book for free. You can write about anything informational and helpful to your subscribers. For example; you can do manuals and guides in so many things. This e-book could be used as a reference for many people.

Share this e-book with everyone, even other sites; just make sure that they don't change the links in the e-book that will lead people to your site. If you want, you can always get some people to write it for you just like your articles. Your investment once again will be covered by the great marketing this will generate.

Add e-coupons in your newsletters that will help them avail to special discounts. Put a control number in your e-coupon so that they can only be used once. When people get discounts that can be found in your newsletters, they will be eager to receive your newsletter in anticipation of what you are promoting next.

If your subscribers can get benefits from your newsletters, they will be very eager to receive them. Just don't flood your mailing list with mails so that you don't annoy your subscribers.

The Fastest Way To Build Your List

Writen by Bright Johnson

Online, buyers don't often buy the first time. On the Internet, first impressions are not lasting. You need to keep a list so that you can sell to your customers. Like Gary North said, "There is a reason why most sites are not making any money. They violate this fundamental law of marketing: it takes more than one contact to generate a sale." It has been proven that more than 70% of sales are made after the third, fourth or fifth contact. Hence your site should have an Autoresponder.

Autoresponder is a script that you place on your site where visitors can sign in their names and emails. It stores it for you and even delivers message you want to the list, any time, any day. Forrester Research said autoresponders are the greatest marketing invention ever created for the Internet.

People run into millions of sites daily, they will forget yours easily. So you have to collect their name and email address so that you can communicate with them regularly. Site visitors need to be turned into regular visitors and directed to other sites or products over time. The list is where the money is. Make people sign up for your newsletter, free download, or free course. Sign up people into your list which entitles them to discounts, freebies and you can finally lock them in as faithful customers.

Online, you don't make money on ticket sales, but when you give people a free class, get them into the door first, you can then sell to them later. But building a list of 10,000 loyal subscribers is not easy—almost impossible for most sites. Those days it is easy to build a list. Today how do you get the people to your site in the first place so that they can sign up? Even if you force them to sign up, probably because you are giving them freebies, they don't want your follow up. People usually use phony email address to sign up for free stuffs. Perhaps you have an e-book and they want it. They will sign up and download it, then unsubscribe, or report you it as spam, and block your mail from coming in.

Paypal did not force people to sign up with them. They have over 50 million accounts and transact about $70 million per day. Yahoo and other big site have loyal subscribes because the offer quality service and they don't abuse the privilege.

Most webmaster manage to build a list of 3000 people and they send ads to them every week trying to sell but all these just annoy people as they unsubscribe. When people sign up, don't flood them with emails or ads. Do it once in a while i.e. weekly or monthly. You must give quality information that your target audience will find of great value. The Web Directory Dilemma Need The Links Dont Have The Time

Writen by Dwayne Goerges

Most webmasters know that to rank high in the search engines you need to have other websites link to your site. A common way to get started in link building is to submit your website to directories. This gives two benefits, first it creates a link to your site, and second the more popular directories send traffic to your site.

Next comes the problem, it take time to submit your website to hundreds of directories, especially if you are trying to type all of the submission information by hand. Then next thing most new webmasters try is to create a text file with all of the submission information on it, and cut and paste this information to the boxes on the submission form. This works much better, it decreases the amount of time spent submitting the website and greatly reduces the likelihood of spelling errors, which may cause your site to be rejected.

However there is still a better way, Mozdev.org has a free plug-in that can be added to the FireFox browser. With this plug-in you add your site information to a profile, and just click on the text that you would like entered into a textbox on the submission form. You can have many entries for the link text, site description, and other information and choose the one you want to use with just a click. Submitting to a directory now takes only seconds instead of minutes.

Once the information is stored in the profile there is little chance of errors that can cause your site to be rejected. Installing the plug-in only takes a few minutes and adding profiles is simple. This plug-in can be found at InFormEnter.mozdev.org.

To Grow Your List Feed And Water It Daily

Writen by Merle Stinnett

One of the biggest questions I hear online is "How do I grow my newsletter list?" If you publish an ezine, the name of the game is growth. What good is writing an ezine, if no one reads it?

There are numerous methods you can utilize to increase your subscriber base, and I'd suggest you use a combination of a few of them for best results. Let's review:

1) Subscribe Form: First of all, you want to make sure you include a subscriber box in the upper right hand corner of every page of your site. People won't subscribe if they don't know you exist. You also may want to offer a "free bonus" as an enticement to get them to give up their email address. The free bonus can take the form of a free ebook or report or other downloadable software. Just make sure it relates to the theme of your ezine. If you don't have an ebook to give away, you'll find plenty of free ones over at http://free-ebooks.net

2) Devote a Page: Devote an entire page to your ezine that includes back issues and testimonials from all your happy subscribers. If you can buy your ezine's domain name I'd suggest you do, then redirect that domain to that particular page of your site. It's easy to do and your webhost should be able to help you.

3) Pop Ups: Love 'em or hate 'em, they work. Regular pop ups open when someone enters your site, which may be a bit annoying. A better tactic is to use a pop up box that shows up when a person exits your site, often called a "pop under." This is usually found to be less irritating because the person has already finished viewing your site and the window is not as intrusive when it shows up upon exiting. You'll find free pop up creators at http://www.echoecho.com/toolpopupgenerator.htm

There's also something called a pop up "alert" button. This can be done with software. When a user enters your site, a "warning box" pops up asking them if they would like to subscribe to your ezine. They must select yes or no to get the box to go away. If they say yes, their email address is instantly sent to you. If this option interests you check it out at http://www.optinautomator.com it can be purchased for only 37.00

4) Buy Them: If all else fails and you have more cash than time, you may want to look at services that allow you to buy opt in subscribers. These are reputable companies who sell only 'opt in' subscribers. Some of the better ones are:

http://www.HipLists.com
http://www.WorldWideLists.com
http://www.LeadFactory.com

5) Joint Ventures: If you're willing to collaborate with other ezine publishers, you can help each other to pick up subscribers. One of the most popular methods is to team up with five or six other publishers and include the details of each other's ezines on your "thank you for subscribing" pages or in your welcome letters. You can download a free script at http://EzineRocket.com that will help you to easily setup a joint venture like this at your site. To see an example of what a joint venture page looks like take a look at http://www.merlesworld.com/subscribed.html

If you need help finding other ezine publishers, try doing a search at any of the major search engines for ezines like yours.

6) Swap Ads: Seek out other ezine publishers with similar subscriber bases that also cater to your target market and offer to swap ads with them. By running ads for your ezine in other related ezines you'll get plenty of free exposure and new subscribers. Find publishers at ezine directories such as http://www.LifeStylesPub.com

7) Co-Registrations: Usually in the form of a pop up box that comes up upon leaving a site, offering you the chance to subscribe to multiple ezines. An example of this type of service would be http://www.SubscriberDrive.com and http://www.personalizedpartyfavor.com/freenocatch.htm

Usually you need to join a service like this at their site and once approved they'll email you a snippet of Java code to add to your pages. Your ezine is shown as one of the listings in proportion to the number of times the pop up is shown on your site. Thus more traffic= more pop ups=more exposure for you.

8) Article Writing: I must say writing articles has always been one of my best promotional activities. If you include a blurb about your ezine in your sig line you can pick up subscribers every time your article is published. Here are some directories where you can post your articles:

http://www.Family-Content.com
http://www.IdeaMarketers.com
http://marketing-seek.com

9) Ezine Directories: You can do it by hand or purchase software, but you should get your ezine listed with as many ezine directories as you can. This will help to get the word out and makes sure you're in all the right places when people are searching for an ezine like yours. You can do it by hand or purchase software that will do it for you such as

http://EzineAnnouncer.com
http://NewsLetterPromote.com

By Hand:

http://www.Eziner.com
http://Zinos.com
http://www.Ezine-Dir.com
http://Newsletter-Directory.com
http://EzineHub.com
http://EzineCatalog.com
http://EzineListing.com

So there you have it. Some great ideas for you to grow your subscriber base. Don't underestimate the power of your own list, it's one of the most important tools in your marketing arsenal. By implementing a few, or all of these suggestions on a regular basis, you'll have a larger list than you ever could have imagined. And that's a good investment. Remember, feed and water your list daily and it'll grow strong and healthy, blossoming into something you can be proud of and make money with at the same time.

Uncover 8 Secrets To Gaining More Ezine Subscribers Now

Writen by William Johnston

If you've just started publishing your own ezine then you'll soon discover that getting visitors to subscribe to your ezine is not as easy as you might think. If you already publish your own ezine, it is likely you have already discovered this. Besides getting more traffic to your site, here are 8 tips that have been proven to boost ezine subscriber rates.

-- Give a free bonus away to anyone who subscribes to your ezine. This will give your visitors an initial reason to subscribe. With the amount of spam going around the internet today, people are becoming less forthcoming about giving their email address away and so make sure your bonus is a worthwhile one. I recommend using an ebook because they cost nothing to produce and are very easy to distribute.

-- Promote your ezine in a signature file at the end of every email you send. If you wish to be a successful webmaster, you should be sending at least 10 emails a day and so a large number of people who will be interested in what your ezine has to offer will see. Try to keep your e-signature short and sharp; giving information about how your ezine benefits its readers.

-- Submit your ezine to ezine directories. Ezine directories are free to submit to and attract people who are looking to sign up to ezines on a subject that interests them. When submitting your ezine, bear in mind that a lot of ezine directories list their ezines in alphabetical order so try to make the first letter of your ezine's name begin with a letter at the lower end of the alphabet. This way your ezine will be the first people see.

-- Have a good subscription request to your ezine on every page of your website. This way, visitors are looking at your offer the whole time and if it looks appealing then they will subscribe. It also ensures that no matter which page of your site a visitor enters, they will always have the chance to see that you have an ezine.

-- Swap ads with other ezine publishers. Swap ads with ezines of the same subject as yours so you can guarantee that those who view your ezine offer will be interested. This method is completely free too. Don't be afraid to ask other ezine publishers to swap ads because they will have very little to lose and everything to gain and so they are very likely to agree.

-- Write articles relevant to the subject of your ezine. In the resource box of your article, promote your ezine. If your article is well written then readers will look for more of your quality content and are likely to subscribe to your ezine. This is another great way to promote your ezine because you know that those looking at your ezine offer will be interested.

-- Make sample issues of your ezine available on your website or by autoresponder. Visitors won't enter their email address unless they know exactly what they are signing up for. Your sample issues should be short and sharp, giving readers a taster of the top quality content that can be found in your ezine. You could also make previous issues of your ezine available.

-- Publish testimonials about your ezine. Visitors are unlikely to believe everything you say about the quality of your ezine but if you have good testimonials then this will lead visitors to trust you and sign up to your ezine. Do not be afraid to ask your current subscribers for testimonials. People will help you and will probably feel honoured that you consider their opinion.

10 Magic Ways To Boost Your Ezine Subscribers

Writen by Rojo Sunsen

1. Show your potential subscribers a sample issue of your e-zine. Black out some of the important info; this will make them more curious & subscribe.

2. Give away a free follow-up autoresponder course. Publish your e-zine ad in each lesson. The more people see it, the higher the chance they'll subscribe.

3. Offer your potential customers a discount on a particular product you sell if they subscribe to your free e-zine.

4. Give other businesses permission to give a free subscription to your e-zine as a bonus for a product they sell.

5. Ask your potential subscribers questions that'll persuade them to subscribe like: "Would you like to be able to retire before you're 40?"

6. Write your e-zine's ad to sound like it is common sense to subscribe. For example: "Everyone knows you have to..."

7. Assume people are going to instantly subscribe to your e-zine. For example: "Dear Healthy Subscriber" They will want to subscribe in order to feel healthy.

8. Allow your subscribers to collect stuff from each issue of your e-zine. It could be ebooks or software. They'll tell others and those people will subscribe.

9. Tell people what their friends or family might say as a result of them of learning what's in your e-zine. People care about what other people think of them.

10. Make people feel like it's their idea to subscribe, they will be less hesitant. Tell them in your ad "You are making a smart decision for subscribing".

Definition Of A Lead

Writen by Tim Whiston

You see headlines all the time about 'Hot leads' 'Fresh Leads', etc. With this kind of lingo in place, one is likely to get the idea that a 'lead' is some sort of baked good.

I'm being silly of course. I'm sure you have some idea of what this term refers to.

A 'lead' is an individual who has expressed some initial interest in your product, service, or opportunity. Typically, this interest is displayed in the form of a request for more information; i.e. filling out an opt-in form to receive a more detailed explanation of what you can offer via email.

Acquiring new leads on a daily basis should be your top priority. Instead of spending your time and energy trying to make a sale on the front end, put your efforts into bringing new prospects onto your contact list so you can promote your offer to them on a more personal level.

But I really want to focus this article on how you should be collecting these new leads. So I'll get right to the point; capture a prospect's interest by yourself instead of purchasing so-called 'leads' through a third party provider.

The best prospects are always people who see your offer and make a conscious decision to ask for more information.

Consider this analogy:

Let's say I stroll into the local video store and strike up a friendly convo with that cute young lady behind the counter. She'd recognize me, because I'm in there renting a new video game at least a couple of times per month. In fact, I've even pulled a laugh or two out of her with a few (well rehearsed) jokes. During the course of our chatter, let's say I ask if she'd like to catch a live band with me over the weekend (unlikely I'll ever acquire the nerve for this but it's certainly a nice thought).

Just for the sake of example, let's assume she says: "Hey that sounds cool. Give me a call on Thursday and I can tell you for sure if I'm free."

In the above scenario, I have just acquired a (hot!) lead.

To put this into perspective, let's look at it from another angle:

I could just as easily pay another employee of the video store to give me the phone number of the young lady mentioned above. Then, armed with her contact information, I could call her at home, completely out of any relevant context, and pitch my offer of a good band and a meal on the side.

Mind you, the band in question is a local favorite. And the club where they will be playing can deliver one of the best hamburgers money can buy.

But despite the quality of my offer, how is my target prospect likely to respond? It's safe to assume I would be in need of a new video store, as I would most likely be viewed as some type of stalker form this point forward.

Can you see what I'm getting at here? If someone who's email address you have purchased suddenly gets a message from you, and has no bloody idea who you are, I can almost guarantee they're not going to respond in a favorable manner.

Purchased mailing lists work great for big spending companies who can lay out thousands of dollars on this type of campaign. But for the average network marketer who is building a business on a far more modest budget, it simply is not cost-effective to try and play the numbers game with purchased leads.

Focus on giving people a good reason to ask you for more information. Once this request is made, over-deliver on the quality and value of information that you provide, and start building a real relationship with your new lead.

This business is personal. So don't get sucked into some scam that promises to build your prospect list by selling you the contact info of people who have never met you, and probably don't want to hear from you.

How To Increase Your Opt In List By 322 In 28 Days

Writen by Colin Evans

"The money's in your list" - how many times have you heard this statement? Plenty I'll bet... Ever wondered why it's been repeated so often it's like a mantra?

Simple, it's the truth. Anybody who owns a list containing the contact details of people interested in their products or services, has a high degree of control over sales.

Luckily, there are numerous low or no cost ways you can rapidly double, triple or even quadruple the size of your opt in subscriber list. Here are 3 of them:

1) Increase Your Opt In List Through Ezine Advertising.

Many ezine publishers incorporate advertisements into their emails. Most will charge for this, but there are ezine owners who publish ads for free.

Without getting too involved, here are the three basic types of ezine ads:

i) Solo Ads - separate emails dedicated to a single advert, and are the most effective. Unfortunately, nearly all ezine publishers will charge for a solo ad.

ii) Top Sponsor Ads - a short classified ad published at the top of an email. Not as effective as solo ads, but most ezine publishers will charge for these.

iii) Trailer Ads - these are short ads published in the middle or at the bottom of the email and are the least effective. They are often grouped with a number of other ads, and are the most likely type of free ezine advertising you'll find.

If you are prepared to search, you will find ezines which publish free ads, and many ezine publishers allow new subscribers a free solo or top sponsor ad.

2) Increase Your Opt In List By Posting to Forums.

If you think the only people to frequent online forums (or discussion groups or bulletin boards as they are also called) are spotty faced techno geeks, you are wrong...

Successful business people (and some of the wealthiest) use forums and they do so for 4 major reasons:

i) They are looking for advice - people like to ask for opinions about various products or services before purchasing. They also ask for help on using the multiplicity of ideas, tools and services available on the internet.

ii) They are on a search for new products - the replies to people looking for advice often contain links to new ideas, tips, tools and services, making forums a great place to search (and just as great a place for you to promote your list).

iii) They are searching for ideas for their own products - the types of questions asked, and the number of people asking similar questions often leads to the creation of a successful product.

iv) They want to make contact with others - quite often the owners of the tools and services recommended to those searching for advice will set up joint ventures with each other.

This is good news for you as a list owner if you frequent forums related to the topic of your list, because in no time at all you will be able to post numerous helpful replies to other forum user's questions. Most forums will allow you to use a "sig file" at the end of your post. This is where you place a brief advertisement and the link to your list.

3) Increase Your Opt In List Through Small Changes to Your Everyday Business Stationery.

A common misperception is to think list building is only an internet marketing "thing". The plain truth is offline businesses also benefit from building their own email lists.

If business is slow, you could send an email to your list containing a "discount coupon" for a particular product or service you sell. A boring morning idly watching people stroll past your shop window could quite easily turn into a mad rush, which leaves your cash register bulging to the point of busting.

To get people to join your list, you need to make maximum use of every piece of normal everyday business stationery.

On every invoice, statement, packing slip, delivery note, parts list, itinerary, you name it, you must have a brief advertisement and the link to your optin form.

You can build on these three tips and put together a formidable list building arsenal. Don't sell yourself short by using only one method, use as many as you possibly can and you could build an incredible list in a relatively short space of time.

Email Newsletter Lists And Daily Defection

Writen by Lance Winslow

For those who put out newsletter via the Internet by emailing them to subscribers, you may have noticed a bizarre trend in the amount of daily defections. Sometimes Ezine editors might assume it was something that they said or put into their newsletter that offended someone in some way and they clicked on the unsubscribe and checked out.

What you may not know is often it has nothing to do with your online newsletter, your editing or the content in the email online newsletter. In fact more often than not the real reason is that the person has a time management problem and is finding them selves over loaded with information and some of it just has to go.

Additionally did you know that when some one clicks unsubscribe on one email news letter that on average within the same sitting they unsubscribe to two others as well? The person who un-subscribes to any one Ezine on average does so to between 2.8 and 3.1 others at the same time? So often you may not be at fault for the defection at all.

Perhaps the individual is trying to free up some time and un-subscribes to your online newsletter because they were upset after wasting time reading an article and then clicking to finish the article on a website, when they could not get thru. This made them angry so they un-subscribed to that Ezine and another on and yours too. So think on this in 2006.

Must Have Marketing Tools

Writen by Merle Stinnett

So, you've finished your website. Your meta tags are in place, your forms are operational, and you can take payments online via credit cards and online checks. Now the hard work begins: You need to submit your site to the various search engines, directories, FFA pages, and anywhere else that can help visitors find you in the vast jungle of information we call the Internet.

I use to do all of this the hard way until I learned a few tricks of the trade that have made my endeavors a lot easier, which I will share with you now. All you need are the right tools.

The first one is a text editor such as Notepad. (You remember Notepad right? It's in there with your Windows Accessories.) Use this to type some standard information about your site so that working on your listings will be a simple matter of cut and paste. Here is the primary information you should have ready:

1) Your name (or business name)

2) Address (City, State, Zip)

3) Phone/Fax

4) Title of your Website

5) Short Description of your site (under 20 words)

6) Long Description of your site

7) Keywords

8) One or two Short Ads you can use for Advertising

If you have a newsletter that needs to be listed in ezine directories, you should include the following information as well:

1) Ezine Name

2) Ezine Description

3) How to Subscribe/Unsubscribe

4) URL of Archives (if available)

5) Does your Publication accept Articles?

6) If you Accept Ads -- what are the Rules?

7) Newsletter Category

8) Date Ezine was Started

9) Number of Subscribers

10) If copy available by Autoresponder

11) Two short ads that tout the benefits of your ezine that you can use online or in swaps with other ezine owners.

The beauty of all of this is that once you type all of this into Notepad, you're done. Simply save the text file to your desktop, then when you start your submissions, open it up, and cut and paste the information into the required fields. Trust me on this, it saves a lot of time. Why type the same data over and over?

Of course, there are some Freeware and Shareware programs available that also will help in your marketing efforts by storing all of this data. My favorite is TypeIt In Pro: http://www.wavget.com/typeitin.html

This program for Win 95/98 and NT will fill out forms on the Web using text you have assigned to individual buttons. If you promote more then one site, you can set up individual groups of buttons for each one. I really love this utility, and no one is paying me to say that. It is free to download but if you decide to keep it you need to pay the 17.50 registration fee.

Another one called "Fillout Manager" allows you to drag and drop your text into forms. It's freeware to download at: to http://www.theill.com/fillout/default.asp

Don't waste another day typing and retyping the same text. Follow my advice and the time you spend promoting your site will be cut in half.

How To Use Ebay To Build Your List Of Subscribers

Writen by James Woolley

"The money's in the list" is a phrase often quoted by internet marketers, but for good reason. If you don't have a way of collecting email addresses through an opt-in form on your site, then you are leaving a lot of money on the table.

When people visit your website and leave without buying anything, you may never get the chance to sell to them again if they don't come back to your site. However, if people opt in to receive more information from you through occasional emails, then you can send follow-up messages, and dramatically increase your chances of making a sale in the future.

There are many ways of building a list, but in this article I want to focus on a strategy often overlooked by the majority of marketers, and that's through Ebay. When you see listings for $0.01, there's a good chance the seller is using backend sales tactics or trying to encourage you to join their newsletter, otherwise they would be losing money for every sale, due to Ebay's fees being higher than the sales price.

A good way of generating a lot of sales, and therefore potential subscribers is to get your hands on some ebooks which offer resale rights, and listing them on Ebay. There are numerous sites where you can pick them up, often for free. If not, there are membership sites, where for a one-off fee you can get access to hundreds of ebooks all with resellers rights, or you could of course buy one of these ebooks offering resellers rights on Ebay, often at a ridiculously low price, then resell it yourself.

Unfortunately, you won't get rich just from selling many of these ebooks on Ebay alone, because the sellers have forced the prices down to very low levels. However, you can benefit very nicely financially from persuading the buyer of your ebook to subscribe to your newsletter or ezine.

It's estimated that every subscriber in your list is worth $1 per month, so if you had 1000 subscribers, you could expect, on average, to earn $1000 per month. This figure obviously varies a lot depending on your sales copy, and the quality and credibility of your mailings, but even so it's easy to see why having your own list is potentially very lucrative.

The key is to offer on your main site several quality free bonuses to each new subscriber that opts in to receive your newsletter. Then when a buyer buys an ebook from you, and you send them the email with the download link included, you can upsell your newsletter by mentioning the further free bonuses they could receive on top of the ebook they've just purchased, and including the link to your main site where the opt in form is located.

I've had great success doing this, because the majority of people, myself included, love freebies, and the buyer will be more than happy to receive extra free ebooks, on top of their original purchase, just for filling out a simple form.

The only thing to bear in mind is that the sale price of your ebook should cover any Ebay fees, although there's nothing stopping you from offering it for $0.01 just to hopefully guarantee a sale. You will lose money on every sale, but it all depends on how much each subscriber is worth to you. If you have a top-quality newsletter or ezine with hardly any unsubscribe requests, then it may be worth doing because you are likely to make any minimal losses back many times over in the future.

Top 10 Advantages Of Buying A Business List

Writen by Anuja A.

In today's competitive market, you cannot leave any marketing channel unexplored. To be in the race, you need to communicate to your audience at several instances such as new product releases, promotional offers, product branding, latest developments, and more. Whatever be the need – it is imperative for you to have a database of your prospects in order to contact them and attract them to buy your product or service.

Here are the top 10 reasons, why you should invest in acquiring a business list right away.

1. Find new customers – The mailing list vendors have hundreds of millions of accurate customer records, collected through several reliable resources, and are updated regularly. You can get complete details like contact name, phone number, verified email address, title, company name, mailing address, fax, revenue, employees, SIC code, and industry details. This lets you touch an entirely new set of target audience directly.

2. Explore new geographies – You can get consumer and business records of several countries across the world and help your business expand globally. So, if you want the contact details of all the top-level business executives in IT companies in CA, you'll get it with just a few clicks.

3. Target the exact profile – Through these customized mailing lists, you can select each one of your targets based on geography, age, income, spends, and many other parameters, so that you can tailor-make the message based on your specific target profile and hit the right buttons.

4. Develop a multi-channel marketing campaign – Imagine the possibilities if you have the complete contact details of your prospects. You can run multi-channel B2B or B2C campaigns with a mix of direct mail, e-mail and telemarketing, which will be more effective and personalized than advertising or promotion through other common mediums.

5. Save cost, time and resources – You can get access to millions of records based on your need, minus the hassle of collecting, collating, managing and updating the database.

6. Gain competitive advantage – The customized lists give you the power to reach even very niche audience through targeted marketing so that you can move a step ahead of your competition. They help you deliver the right content to the right prospects at the right time in the selling cycle.

7. Faster turn-around – After you place your order, the vendor can give your specified list to you within hours, which lets you start your marketing campaign right away.

8. Custom-built lists – The better list vendors in the market provide customized list development services and build customer or business lists based on your exact requirements. You can get as specific as getting names, titles and e-mail addresses of director-lever SAP users in companies in NJ, with number of employees more than 300, and yearly revenue more than a billion USD.

9. Lists in formats of your choice – You can get the output in any file format that suits you, such as Excel, HTML, Word, Plain Text, Access, Goldmine, CSV format and more. This makes the integration of new records with your existing database easier.

10. Affordable – Thousands of records are available for just a couple of dollars. When compared to other mediums, this one is among the cheapest ones and generates greater ROI. It is a very cost effective, high response, and opportunistic medium for communicating with customers and has the power to bring huge benefits to your business.

Go ahead, invest in a good mailing list, initiate extremely targeted marketing campaigns and see your profits grow. Do it before your competitors sweep away your prospects before you do!

How To Build An Opt In Email List Of 1250 Eager Subscribers

Writen by Codrut Turcanu

If you have ever wanted to discover how you can build your own opt in email list, now it's your chance to learn the amazing tactics that I'm using on a regular basis to generate up to 1,000 opt-in email subscribers, quickly and easily.

FACT: everyone knows that when using email as the media of your online promotion, you eliminate the need for high cost advertising.

In fact, email is free to use. The paid costs are for the autoresponder service that helps you to collect opt in email subscribers and build your opt in email list.

One thing is for sure - with an opt in email list, you are pretty sure that what you are sending out is received, viewed and read by your leads and not simply being deleted.

Here's why: they have signed up for your opt in list and have consented in receiving the content you promised them.

This means that there are constant reminders to your subscribers about all your promotions: new products and services as well as any information, tips and resource you are having. There is also the chance that these messages can be forwarded to other potential customers as your subscribers tell their friends and family about you and your Web Site.

Be aware: a subscriber may unsubscribe when they feel that they are not getting what they wanted or expected from you. Make sure that they are pretty satisfied with your opt-in email CONTENT and keep them excited in receiving your future information.

Here are 3 quick tips that can help you to build an opt in email list of 1,250 eager subscribers:

TIP #1 - Create Your Opt In Email Landing Page

I bet you've seen an opt in email landing page before: it's a web page where the main purpose is to get your email address in exchange for free or paid CONTENT (e.g. an eCourse, an eBook, updates, etc...)

The KEY term here is "CONTENT". If you promise and deliver great, exclusive CONTENT, you are going to create a responsive opt in email list of eager subscribers who should turn into your raving fans and customers.

In order to get as many subscribers as you can (your focus is to have a HIGH opt in conversion ratio - getting a % of subscribers out of 100 visitors to your site!) you must create a killer opt in email landing page. Here's how to do it: spy on your competitors. Watch how they're building their opt in email landing pages and copy their tactics. Don't plagiarise them, instead, come up with your own opt in landing page model.

TIP #2 - Create Your Opt In Email Course CONTENT

The BEST way to keep in contact with your subscribers and send them NEW information via email is with an opt in email course that you create and upload onto your autoresponder.

These email course lessons will be put on follow-up and your autoresponder will act like an online FAX machine, sending email after email to your opt in email list.

I suggest you create at least 7 email follow-ups packed with 100% exclusive content because unique content is the KING.

HINT: the more follow-up emails you write and add to your autoresponders, the great chances you have to generate more sales and turn subscribers into your eager fans and customers.

Make your CONTENT interesting and fun. Try to use a little creativity but do not over do it.

Write compelling tips and articles that can be very informational but light at the same time. If your subscribers enjoy your articles, they will go to your Web Site by clicking the links that you recommend inside your email.

I suggest you NEVER come up with CONTENT not related to your eCourse niche topic. If your web site visitors signed up with your opt in email list to receive FREE information about "how to make money online with eBay", do NOT send them tips on "how to make money offline". That's nonsense.

TIP #3 - Promote Your Opt In Landing Page Like Crazy

Believe it or not, the most effective tactic you can use to promote your opt in email landing page is simply by...

Writing and publishing online articles. Once you finish creating an article packed with red-hot content and NO advertising, research for top online directories and web masters who accept article submissions in your niche topic.

Here comes the most exciting part: if your article is accepted and published by an online web site or publication (e.g. Newsletter/eZine) it's going to bring you FREE traffic to your opt in email landing page. More than that, if others are seeing this article and like it, they can also decide to publish it online, thus bringing you FREE exposure to your opt in email landing page.

You should receive 5-10 opt in email subscribers per day for each high traffic web site that publishes your article. This traffic is viral, it grows on autopilot and spreads like wildfire.

Within a month your article could build you a list of 1,250 opt in email subscribers eager to read your offers.

Just last month I received 1470 opt in leads to one of my niche eCourses, so this works, try it for yourself and you'll be amazed at how easy it is to create your own profitable opt in email list.

Article Writing Can It Help Me Get More Newsletter Subscribers

Writen by Nicole Dean

Question: I've got a newsletter that just isn't growing. I'm posting my site on free classified ads and I'm paying for advertising, but I'm just not seeing results. What can I do?

Signed, Nobody Loves Me

Dear Nobody Loves Me,

Let me start by saying you are not alone. I believe you are working hard. Unfortunately, just because you are working hard doesn't mean you'll have success. You need to also work smart and invest in long-term ways to grow your list.

Let me tell you about my favorite way to grow your list – giving away articles.

If you're not familiar with using articles as a marketing method, then you're in for a big treat. Website owners and blog owners are always looking for content to share with their web visitors. So, there are places called Article Directories (basically a library of free articles) where they can go to find articles that they can use – free.

All of these articles have an Author bio at the end. (See the end of this article for an example.). The author bio is the primo space where the authors get to talk about their business. Their brag space, so to speak.

What does any of this have to do with you? You can write and distribute articles to these article directories, too. And, in your author bio, instead of linking directly to your main page of your site, you can link to a page where you have a signup box for your newsletter. Voila. Everyone who clicks through that link will be taken to the page where you can offer them your wonderful newsletter (with a great incentive they can't pass up.) Of course your page will lure them into signing up and your newsletter list will grow.

Nicole Dean doesn't pay for advertising – ever. She uses Article Marketing to get free advertising on websites and in newsletters worldwide. You can use articles to get free traffic, too. Visit http://www.EasyArticleMarketing.com to find out how. For incentives to offer to your newsletter lists, don't miss http://www.free-ebooksonline.com

How Your Advice Column Can Build Loyal Readers

Writen by Rix Quinn

Last year while researching a book on memorable speeches and essays, I stumbled across an ageless writing technique that continues to captivate readers.

Advice articles first appeared several hundred years ago. Some were submitted to papers and magazines anonymously. The question-and-answer format probably appeared a little bit later.

While opinion articles have been around for years, few develop the loyalty and following of advice columns.

Test this for yourself by gathering newspapers and magazines from the last several decades. My guess is: you'll find the old question/answer columns still ageless and vibrant.

Advice features generate return readers. Why? Maybe it's because people love to share problems and possible solutions.

Want to start your own "advice" column? Here are three simple ways to begin:

1. Survey your readership for the two or three industry issues perpetually discussed.

2. Find out all you can about those issues.

3. Prompt questions from readers about those issues, and answer them regularly in a column.

Current popular syndicated features, for instance, offer advice on personal relationships, do-it-yourself projects, and travel.

In a professional or trade magazine, your question/answer feature might cover the history of your profession, provide an open forum where readers share information, or follow a how-to format. That's your decision.

Personal note: Lots of times I get questions whose answers I don't know. That's when I ask the advice of an expert in that field, and ask for his/her permission to include their response and name in the answer. If I don't know the answer, I tell the questioner I simply don't know.

Bottom line: If you want to connect better your readers, you must also give them the opportunity to reach you.

Rix Quinn wrote the new book Words That Stick, which offers lots of writing tips for professionals who hate to write. The book's available at your local bookstore, or http://www.tenspeed.com/catalog/all/item.php3?id=1661
